OnePlus N6x at Rs 18,499 with bank offers in Amazon early deal

NEW DELHI: Amazon India has put the OnePlus N6x at Rs 18,499 including bank offers as part of its early deals for the Great Indian Festival, which starts on 8 October. The phone launched in India at the end of July and has been on sale since 4 August.

The price on offer

Amazon's festival announcement mentions the Rs 18,499 figure for the N6x without naming a variant. The phone comes in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB versions, as per the OnePlus India launch page. The Amazon product listing for the 4GB + 64GB model showed Rs 20,999 against an MRP of Rs 26,999 when checked on 1 October, so the lower price depends on the bank offer applied at payment.

Amazon says customers get a 10 per cent instant discount with SBI credit and debit cards and EMI transactions during the festival. The two colours are Burgundy Red and Ice Blue, and the phone has been on open sale since 4 August.

Battery and display

The main selling point is the 7,000mAh battery, which OnePlus says can last up to 2.5 days of usage. Amazon adds that the battery is backed by six-year battery health. That is a big cell for a phone in this price band, and it is paired with a 6.8-inch HD+ display (1570 x 720 pixels) that refreshes at 120Hz.

The resolution is modest, so text will not look as sharp as on a full HD panel, but the 120Hz refresh rate helps scrolling feel smooth. A vapour chamber measuring 5,300 square mm is included to help the phone manage heat during gaming and long video sessions.

Performance, cameras and build

The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor with OxygenOS 16 on top. For durability, OnePlus lists MIL-STD-810H certification, and the Amazon listing shows an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Camera hardware is basic. There is a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, so this is a phone aimed at people who value battery life and a large screen over photography. Daily use such as messaging, payments, video streaming and social media should be well within its reach, but anyone who shoots a lot of photos or records video will notice the limits quickly.

The phone ships with OxygenOS 16, and Amazon pitches it as a festive-season handset built around battery life. The OnePlus launch page lists the same core hardware that Amazon highlights, which keeps the deal easy to compare against the maker's own store.

Is it worth waiting for 8 October?

Early deals usually give a preview of what the main sale will bring, but prices and bank offers can change when the festival begins. If you are eyeing the N6x, it is sensible to compare the final price for your card on Amazon with the price on the OnePlus store, where exchange and card offers may differ.

Buyers should also decide on storage first. Base storage of 64GB fills up quickly with apps, photos and downloaded videos, so the 128GB version may be the better pick if the price gap is small. Check the exact payable amount at checkout, because the Rs 18,499 figure includes bank offers and will not apply to every buyer.
