Five o’clock on 22 August 2026 was the hard stop. The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee’s second revised Round 1 schedule closed online choice filling for merit-listed state-quota MBBS and BDS candidates at 5:00 PM IST. Choice locking had begun the same day from 11:30 AM.

Anyone who missed the window should treat Round 1 choice filling as closed unless OJEE posts a further revision on ojee.nic.in. The next calendar stops — reconciliation, provisional allotment, queries, final allotment and reporting — still matter for candidates who locked on time.

OJEE has tied the latest reset to changes in the Medical Counselling Committee All India Quota calendar and the knock-on adjustment of Odisha’s state-quota timeline. Earlier Round 1 circulars in this cycle are superseded. The notice that counts is the one currently on ojee.nic.in.

Filling and locking on the same Saturday

Under the second revised timetable, choice filling continues until 5:00 PM for candidates who are registered and on the Odisha state merit list. Locking opens from 11:30 AM. Those who have already locked preferences are generally not asked to fill again. Those who have not locked must finish before the window closes.

OJEE’s Round 1 process here covers state-quota MBBS and BDS seats. It does not replace MCC counselling for All India Quota seats. Aspirants on both tracks should run two calendars. An OJEE lock does not cover an MCC preference list, and the reverse is equally true.

After 22 August: allotment, queries, Gandamunda reporting

Data reconciliation is listed for 23 August 2026. Round 1 provisional seat allotment is listed for 24 August at 2:00 PM. A query window on the provisional allotment is indicated for 25 August. Final Round 1 allotment and allotment-letter download are listed for 26 August at 11:30 AM.

Fee payment and reporting with original documents at the OJEE Cell, Gandamunda, are scheduled to begin from 28 August under the revised notice. Keep originals and the allotment letter ready for that phase, and follow the checklist published with the notice.

Clock times on counselling calendars have already moved more than once this season. Re-check each timestamp on ojee.nic.in on the day of the event rather than trusting a printed copy from last week.

Discard the old WhatsApp schedule

Families still forwarding the first or first-revised OJEE dates should stop. Only the second revised Round 1 notice should guide today’s choices. Fee amounts, seat matrices and full document lists belong in that official notice; this report does not invent them beyond the dated timeline above.

OJEE has framed the update as a schedule revision for Round 1 state-quota counselling, not as a fresh registration drive. Candidates who never registered, or who are not on the state merit list, cannot use the extended choice window unless a separate notice says so.

For readers on Saturday, 22 August 2026, the sequence is simple and time-bound: open the counselling login on ojee.nic.in, confirm merit-list status, complete or revise choices if still unlocked, and lock before 5:00 PM. After that, watch for provisional allotment on 24 August, queries on 25 August, final allotment on 26 August, and reporting from 28 August at Gandamunda.
