Odisha OJEE opens Round 3 MBBS and BDS choice filling with fresh state merit list

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination has told registered candidates how Round 3 of 85 percent State Quota MBBS and BDS counselling will work. Notice No. OJEE/0551 dated 1 October 2026 lists who must fill or modify choices, and a companion provisional state merit list under Notice No. OJEE/0550 of the same date is on the portal for candidates to check their ranks.
The notices sit on ojee.nic.in. Allotment in this round will follow state rank, the choices submitted, and the seats that remain after Round 1 and Round 2 reporting.
Who must fill or change choices
OJEE has narrowed the Round 3 choice window to specific groups. Candidates who did not get any seat in Round 1 or Round 2 must give consent as "Yes" before they can fill or modify choices. Newly registered candidates for Round 3 must fill choices against the seats shown on the portal.
Those who were allotted a seat earlier but did not report physically have to fill fresh choices. OJEE says their previous choices become null and void. Candidates who withdrew and now want to rejoin Round 3 must also consent "Yes" and file a fresh set of preferences.
There is a firm lock for one group. Anyone allotted in Round 1 or Round 2 who physically reported at the OJEE Office, Gandamunda, cannot modify or fill choices in later web counselling rounds. Non-reported allottees are out of further rounds unless they consent "Yes" and enter fresh choices as the notice allows.
Candidates who took an All India Quota seat through MCC, reported there till Round 2, and also stayed in the Odisha state process are told to follow MCC guidelines before they act on state choices.
What the provisional merit list means
Notice OJEE/0550 publishes a provisional state merit list drawn from NEET UG 2026 All India Rank and the documents candidates uploaded. Newly registered candidates carry ranks with a decimal point so they slot into the existing order without renumbering the whole list.
OJEE is clear that a name on the merit list does not guarantee an MBBS or BDS seat. Allotment still depends on rank, choice and vacancy. During reporting, original documents will be verified. Tampering or mismatch can cancel both the allotment and the candidature.
PwBD candidates cleared by SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, receive a PC rank. Ineligible PwBD applicants are treated under the general category as per the notice. NRI candidates who later receive a seat must produce the original NRI documents required under MCC rules at the time of admission.
What candidates should do now
Log in with the application number and password on ojee.nic.in, confirm the Round 3 consent status if required, and fill choices only if the criteria in OJEE/0551 apply. Keep NEET documents and category certificates ready for the reporting stage that follows allotment.
Parents should read both PDFs rather than rely on social forwards. The choice rules and the merit sheet are separate files. Missing the consent step or treating a merit rank as a seat offer are the two mistakes OJEE is warning against on 1 October.
