OJEE sets 28 and 29 September reporting for BAMS, BHMS first-round provisional admission

BHUBANESWAR: Students allotted BHMS and BAMS seats in the first round of Odisha's AYUSH counselling must report in person at the OJEE office in Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, on 28 and 29 September for provisional admission.

The schedule is set out in notice No. OJEE/0527 dated 25 September, signed by the OJEE Chairman. It fixes a one-hour slot for each college, and candidates must turn up in the slot for the college they have been allotted.

BHMS on 28 September

Homoeopathy allottees report on Monday, 28 September. Those allotted Dr Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar, report from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Utkalamani Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Rourkela, follows from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and Odisha Medical College of Homoeopathy and Research, Sambalpur, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. After a break, Biju Pattnaik Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, has the 2 to 3 PM slot.

BAMS on 29 September

Ayurveda allottees report on Tuesday, 29 September. Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Puri, is first, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Government Ayurvedic College, Balangir, follows from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and Kaviraj Ananta Tripathy Sharma Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Ankushpur, Ganjam, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.

In the afternoon, Sri Sri Nrusinghnath Ayurvedic College and Research Institute, Paikmal, Bargarh, has the 2 to 3 PM slot, and Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital, Arilo, Cuttack, the 3 to 4 PM slot.

Freeze or float, and the fee

Before reporting, each allotted candidate must choose Freeze or Float using their login ID. Freeze means accepting the allotted seat and leaving later rounds; Float means keeping the seat while staying in the running for a better option in later rounds. The notice asks candidates to exercise the option but does not set a separate deadline for it, so it is safest to do this before the reporting day.

The admission fee is Rs 8,500 and must be paid online through the candidate's login. OJEE has added that if the fee structure is revised by government order, the revised amount will apply automatically.

What to carry

Candidates must bring all certificates, mark sheets, the College Leaving Certificate and other required documents in original, along with one set of photocopies. The provisional admission letter is issued only after the fee is deposited, documents are verified, and the Nativity Certificate and CLC are submitted in original. OJEE will give an acknowledgement for the documents it keeps.

The candidate may come alone or with one guardian only.

Do not go to the college yet

One instruction runs against what many families expect. OJEE has told candidates not to report at their allotted college at this stage. They must wait until the entire counselling and admission process is complete.

Once the final round is over, OJEE will send the list of admitted students, along with their admission fees, to each institute, and the institutes will then complete the final admission. Any refund due to a candidate will be processed by OJEE after the final admission dates and paid under government procedure.

Candidates who cannot make their slot should contact the OJEE office before the reporting day. The notice does not provide for an alternative date, and it lists only these two days for first-round BAMS and BHMS provisional admission.
