GURUGRAM: Hotel restaurants in Gurugram are often booked for a birthday, an anniversary or a client dinner, and the questions are usually practical ones. When is it open, can the children come, and is there a dress code? The Oberoi, Gurgaon, in Udyog Vihar 5, answers most of these on its own website. This guide sets out what its dining pages list, as read on 6 October 2026.

The hotel's dining page names three restaurants, two bars and a home delivery service. It also carries a notice about its pastry shop. All the outlets share one address, Udyog Vihar 5, Gurgaon 122016, and the hotel's travel notes put it 14 kilometres, or about 15 minutes by road, from the Delhi airport.

Madam Chow is the hotel's Chinese restaurant. The page says it draws on the cooking of Guangdong, the Cantonese tradition, and of Sichuan. It sits in a glass pavilion overlooking the hotel's blue reflection pool, with a design built around stone, wood and glass. Lunch is listed from 12:30 pm to 3 pm and dinner from 7 pm to 11 pm. The page also mentions a cocktail bar with Asian-inspired pairings and recommends advance reservations.

Ziya serves modern Indian food and is associated with Chef Vineet Bhatia, whom the hotel describes as Michelin-starred. On the timings, the restaurant page and the main dining page agree: dinner every day from 7 pm to 11 pm, and lunch from 12:30 pm to 3 pm only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So a weekday lunch plan at Ziya will not work.

Ziya also has two house rules worth knowing before you book. The page says the restaurant welcomes children above the age of twelve, and the dress code asks men to wear full-length trousers and closed footwear. Families with younger children, and anyone planning to arrive in shorts or sandals after a day out, should keep this in mind.

All-day dining and the bars

threesixtyone, written by the hotel with a degree sign as threesixtyone°, is the all-day restaurant and keeps the longest hours, from 7 am to 12:30 am. The page lists Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Indian dishes from show kitchens, a wooden deck on the water for outdoor seating and a private dining room for parties.

The pastry shop is the one change to note. The dining page says The Oberoi Patisserie is closed for renovation for now, and that its pastries, desserts and confections are being served at threesixtyone alongside the regular menu. No reopening date is given, so readers looking for a cake or pastry should go to threesixtyone for the time being.

The two bars keep different hours. Lord Vesper, which the hotel describes as a high-energy cocktail bar with global food, opens at 5 pm and closes at 12:30 am from Sunday to Thursday and at 1:30 am on Friday and Saturday. The page says it has a ground-floor bar and lounge, a private mezzanine and an outdoor area for live performances, with music moving to DJ sets later in the evening.

Lord Vesper lists a smart casual dress code and says children aged 12 and above are welcome. Both bar pages state that, under the excise rules, alcohol is not served to anyone below 21. The Piano Bar and Cigar Lounge, in the hotel's glass building with views of the reflection pool, is listed from 10 am to 12:30 am and mentions live piano music and a wine list of about two hundred labels.

Put together, the timings sort themselves by occasion. For breakfast or a late supper, threesixtyone is the only restaurant listed as open. For a weekday lunch, the choice is Madam Chow or threesixtyone, since Ziya serves lunch only from Friday to Sunday. For a family meal with children under 12, Ziya and Lord Vesper are ruled out by their own pages, while the Madam Chow and threesixtyone pages do not state any age rule.

One small error on the website is worth flagging. The reservation form on each page tells groups of more than eight guests, and anyone wanting a table within the next 24 hours, to call the hotel directly, but the note names a different Oberoi property, a beach resort abroad. For large or same-day bookings, the Gurgaon numbers listed below are the ones to use.

For people who would rather eat at home, Home Delivery by Oberoi lists Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Indian dishes from the threesixtyone kitchens, for delivery and takeaway from 9 am to 11 pm. The website does not set out delivery areas or charges on the page we read, so Dalimss News is not quoting any.

On contact numbers, the main switchboard number +91 124 245 1234 appears on the Madam Chow, Ziya, threesixtyone and Piano Bar pages. The main dining page also lists separate mobile numbers: +91 78279 66903 for Madam Chow, +91 82879 34028 for Ziya and +91 82871 02705 for Lord Vesper. The menus are linked from each restaurant page, but the pages we read did not print dish prices, so none are quoted here.

Since the hotel is a short drive from the city's main office district, readers combining dinner with a wider evening can see our DLF CyberHub entertainment guide and our Rapid Metro evening plan around CyberHub.
