NTA declares ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF results; 38,720 appeared

ICAR’s postgraduate and doctoral entrance results landed on 29 August. The National Testing Agency’s press release that evening declares results of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2026 for academic year 2026–27. The sitting was 4 July 2026, at 162 centres in 115 cities. This is the agriculture entrance, not Joint CSIR-UGC NET and not UGC-NET.
NTA prints 42,110 registered candidates: 30,619 for AIEEA (PG) and 11,491 for AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.), of whom 38,720 appeared. A total of 430 PwD/PwBD candidates registered. Page 1 of the result release does not print a qualified-count table. No JRF-award total or admission total is printed there either.
Gender as printed; category table held back
Registered, by gender, as the release prints: AIEEA (PG) females 15,115 and males 15,504 (30,619); AICE-JRF/SRF females 6,418 and males 5,073 (11,491); combined 21,533 and 20,577 (42,110).
Appeared, by gender: AIEEA (PG) 14,004 and 14,299 (28,303); AICE-JRF/SRF 5,755 and 4,662 (10,417); combined 19,759 and 18,961 (38,720).
Those appeared totals add to the 38,720 already named. Category-wise cells on page 1 are not fully readable. A full General / Gen-EWS / OBC (NCL) / SC / ST table is not published from that page.
After the exam, questions, provisional answer keys and candidate responses were hosted from 16.08.2026 to 18.08.2026 and challenges were invited. Subject experts verified challenges; results were processed on the verified keys.
Where the scorecard sits, and where NTA’s job ends
Results “are now hosted” on https://exams.nta.ac.in/ICAR/. Candidates log in to view, download and print the scorecard. A same-day public notice dated 29.08.2026 puts the final answer keys of AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2026 on https://exams.nta.nic.in/icar/. Login with credentials; each candidate sees the key of the subject in which he or she appeared. The keys annexure describes a “View & print Your Final Answer Key” button on the candidate home page, then an external NTA link.
The result release is explicit about the hand-off. Eligibility, self-declaration and documents “shall be verified as per norms specified by ICAR/Institution where admission is sought, at subsequent stages of the admission process.” NTA’s responsibility “is limited to inviting online application, conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing the results to ICAR for further action at their end.” Candidates “are advised to refer to the e-Prospectus and the Admission Policy/Procedure hosted on the website of ICAR, i.e. www.icar.ac.in for further course of action with reference to their admission.”
Helpline printed on both notices: +91-11-40759000 and icar@nta.ac.in. Parent site www.nta.ac.in. The result PDF is https://nta.ac.in/Download/Notice/Notice_20260829230847.pdf. The keys PDF is https://nta.ac.in/Download/Notice/Notice_20260829222626.pdf.
The keys notice reprints the same headcounts as the result release: 42,110 registered (30,619 AIEEA (PG) and 11,491 AICE-JRF/SRF), 38,720 appeared, 162 centres, 115 cities. AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) remain two programmes on one ICAR exam login; download the scorecard and the final key of the paper you sat, not a neighbour’s file.
Admission policy after that score lives in ICAR’s e-Prospectus at www.icar.ac.in. NTA’s 29 August page ends at the login.
