NTA CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 scores declared

Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 scores are on the login today. The National Testing Agency’s press release dated 29.08.2026 is headed “Declaration of Scores of the Joint CSIR - UGC NET June 2026 Examination.” That is the CSIR paper — five science subjects, July sitting, csirnet.nta.nic.in. It is not the 84-subject UGC-NET June result already on the homepage.

NTA treated the June cycle as a computer-based test on 17 and 18 July 2026, for 05 subjects, in 224 cities across India. The release prints 1,87,739 registered candidates and 1,50,057 appeared. Those two totals are the all-India headcounts printed on the gender and subject tables.

Who sat, and in which named subjects

The gender table as it printed cleanly: females 1,11,274 registered and 90,380 appeared; males 76,463 registered and 59,675 appeared. A Third Gender row is on the page. The printed counts in that cell are not readable, so they are not restated here.

Subject rows that printed with a readable label: Mathematical Sciences, 17.07.2026 Shift-II, 31,574 registered and 24,964 appeared; Physical Sciences, also printed as 17.07.2026 Shift-II, 27,791 and 21,810; Chemical Sciences, 18.07.2026 Shift-I, 38,740 and 30,885; Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, 18.07.2026 Shift-I, 6,088 and 4,748. One 17.07.2026 row prints 83,546 registered and 67,650 appeared without a stable subject label. That row is not named.

Provisional answer keys and recorded responses sat on https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/ from 16.08.2026 to 18.08.2026, up to 11:00 p.m., for challenges. “Challenges received were verified by the experts and the results were processed as per the answer keys finalized by the experts.” The score “is being declared today i.e., 29.08.2026.”

Final keys, the login, and what NTA is not certifying

A same-day public notice, also dated 29.08.2026, puts the final answer keys for all 05 subjects on the same official Joint CSIR-UGC NET website. Candidates log in with their credentials and view the key for their own subject. The annexure on that notice describes a “View” path from the candidate home page; use the live login, not a forwarded screenshot.

The keys notice states the June examination is for determining eligibility of Indian nationals for award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor; appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.; and admission to Ph.D. only, in Indian universities and colleges. The scores press release adds an important note: eligibility criteria, self-declaration and documents of eligible candidates “shall be verified as per norms specified in the information bulletin of Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 by the concerned authorities as per the due process.” A downloaded scorecard is not that verification.

A scorecard on csirnet.nta.nic.in and the final key of the subject you sat are the two files NTA dated 29.08.2026. Universities and CSIR-linked appointing authorities still read the information bulletin against your documents. The scores release prints no qualified-count and no cutoff table.
