NTA issues CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 certificates

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency has issued certificates for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination. A public notice dated 25 September 2026 says the certificates are now available on https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/ for candidates who qualified in the June cycle.

NTA conducted the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination for three categories: award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor; appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.; and admission to Ph.D. only. The exam was held in five subjects for 1,87,739 candidates in Computer Based Test mode on 17 and 18 July 2026.

Where to download and whom to mail

Qualified candidates should log in on the CSIR NET portal with their application credentials and download the certificate file for their own records. NTA says that if any candidate faces difficulty in downloading the certificate, she or he can mail csirnet@nta.ac.in or csircertificate@nta.ac.in. For latest updates, candidates are advised to visit https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/ rather than rely on forwarded screenshots from messaging groups.

The notice is issued by the Director (Exams), National Testing Agency, from the Government of India Press Building, Minto Road, New Delhi. It does not change the result already declared earlier for the June 2026 cycle; it only opens certificate download for those who cleared the relevant category thresholds in the five subjects tested.

Why the certificate matters now

Universities, colleges and research labs often ask for the NET certificate or award letter when shortlisting for Assistant Professor interviews, JRF joining or Ph.D. admission under the NET route. Candidates who cleared only the Ph.D. eligibility category should read the certificate text carefully so they do not claim JRF or Assistant Professor eligibility where it is not granted.

Keep a local PDF copy and a printout. Portal links can be busy in the first days after a certificate release. If the download fails, wait and retry, then use the two mail IDs listed in the 25 September notice before assuming a result error. NTA has separately issued e-certificates for UGC-NET June 2026 on a different track; CSIR-UGC NET certificates are handled on the csirnet.nta.nic.in portal named in this notice.

Candidates who still have pending document corrections or category issues should resolve them through the official CSIR NET help channels before they submit the certificate to an employer or university. The public notice does not extend any result challenge window; it is limited to certificate issuance for the June 2026 examination already conducted and declared.

Candidates and schools should rely only on the official notice named in this report and the portal URLs printed there, and should keep local PDF copies of every allotment letter, scorecard or circular they download during the live window.
