NTA AIAPGET re-exam 1 Sept for 49 Jaipur candidates

Forty-nine AIAPGET aspirants who sat Shift-I at Shri Satya Sai PG College in Jaipur will take the paper again. The National Testing Agency, in a public notice dated 22 August 2026, has fixed their re-examination for 1 September 2026 at 10:00 AM at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur, after a power failure cut their attempt short.

The same notice also records the national scale of Shift-I. Of 36,979 registered candidates, 35,837 appeared across 200 centres. The examination was completed for 35,788. At the Jaipur centre alone, 192 candidates appeared; 49 could not finish.

What NTA says went wrong in Jaipur

NTA attributes the power failure at Shri Satya Sai PG College to M/s Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited, named in the notice as the exam-conducting agency. The agency has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to those who could not complete the test. The public notice does not set out a separate show-cause order or any empanelment decision beyond that attribution, so desk copy sticks to the wording on the page.

For the 49 affected candidates, the next hard date is clear: 01 September 2026, 10:00 AM, at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur. Further centre and timing details will travel on revised admit cards issued to those candidates. Anyone who finished Shift-I elsewhere is not covered by this re-exam notice.

Shift-I numbers candidates should keep in context

The Jaipur interruption sat inside a large national sitting. Nearly 36,000 candidates appeared on the same shift. Only a thin gap separates appeared (35,837) and completed (35,788) counts — that gap lines up with the 49 who could not finish at the Jaipur centre. Families comparing WhatsApp tallies with the NTA PDF should use the notice figures, not circulating screenshots.

AIAPGET is the postgraduate entrance for Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy streams under the national testing framework. A local centre fault does not reopen the paper for the wider pool. It creates a second sitting for the named affected cohort once revised admit cards are out.

What affected candidates should do now

Check name, photograph, exam date (01 September 2026), reporting time and the Jaipur venue before travel. Carry the printed revised admit card and a valid photo ID on exam day.
