GURUGRAM: Noise has put a price on its first open-ear earbuds for India. The Master Buds Open, tuned with Sound by Bose technology, will cost Rs 7,999 when they go on sale on 23 October, and pre-booking is already running on the company's own website.
The Gurugram-based brand first showed the earbuds at IFA Berlin in September. Its India announcement, dated 5 October, adds the details buyers here were waiting for: the price, the sale date, the colours and the stores.
Price, sale date and where to buy
Noise calls Rs 7,999 an inaugural launch price, so it may not last beyond the opening weeks. From 23 October the earbuds will be sold on gonoise.com, Amazon, Reliance Digital, Croma and Vijay Sales. Until then, pre-booking is only on gonoise.com.
There are two metallic finishes, Carbon and Mercury. The pre-book pass page on the Noise website lists a pass for each colour at Rs 999, shown against a struck-out Rs 1,999 (price as of 8 October 2026, 2:45 PM IST). The pass is sold separately for each colour, so read its terms on that page before paying.
Noise has not said how long the Rs 7,999 price will run once open sale starts, or whether the retail partners will add their own bank offers. Both are worth checking on 23 October rather than assuming.
What open-ear means here
These are not in-ear buds. A C-shaped bridge clips around the outer ear and holds the speaker just outside the ear canal, so traffic, announcements and colleagues stay audible while music plays. Noise lists each earbud at 5.5g.
That design has a trade-off the company spells out in its own FAQ: there is no active noise cancellation and no wear detection. If you want to block out a metro coach or an office, these are the wrong pair. If you cycle, run outdoors or sit on calls all day and want to hear the room, the format makes more sense.
Inside is a 10.8mm custom dynamic driver with Sound by Bose tuning. Noise says its Dynamic EQ adjusts the sound and offers six presets. Spatial Audio is supported, and the earbuds use the SBC and AAC codecs, with no high-bitrate Android codec listed.
Calls, battery and app features
For calls, there are four microphones with environmental noise cancellation and a neural network model that is meant to keep your voice clear in busy places. That processing works on the microphones only, not on what you hear.
Bluetooth 5.4 and dual connectivity let the earbuds stay paired to two devices, such as a phone and a laptop, and switch between them. Android phones get Google Fast Pair for one-tap setup.
Noise claims up to 28 hours of playback with the charging case. On its product page it lists a full charge at up to 90 minutes over USB Type-C, and says 10 minutes of charging gives about 73 minutes of listening. The earbuds carry an IPX4 rating, which covers sweat and light splashes, not a dunk in water.
The Noise Audio app handles touch gestures, the equaliser and Spatial Audio. It also carries the AI features Noise is pushing across its range: a voice assistant it calls Chat AI, and transcription of conversations into text.
Amit Khatri, co-founder of Noise, said in the announcement that "open-ear listening is an important emerging category globally", and that adding an open wearable stereo model to the Master Series was "the natural next step" after the earlier Master Buds.
Where it sits in Noise's festive line-up
At Rs 7,999 the Master Buds Open sit near the top of Noise's audio range, well above its everyday earbuds. The open-ear design is the reason to pay that much, not a feature list to compare line by line.
Noise has been busy this festive season. We reported on its HomeStage soundbar at Rs 4,999 last month. If you are still deciding between new earbuds and a bigger upgrade, our Diwali guide on earbuds versus a phone upgrade lays out the budgets.
All battery and call claims above are Noise's own figures. Real-world battery life will vary with volume and use, and the company itself says the 28-hour figure depends on factors such as music genre and sound volume.
