Candidates who cleared the written National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026 have been asked to register on the Indian Army recruiting website within two weeks of the written-result announcement. The Union Public Service Commission announced the result on 9 October, making the registration instruction the immediate next step for successful candidates this week.
The written examination was held on 13 September. Qualification at this stage is provisional and leads to an interview by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. It is not the final result or confirmation of admission. The examination is for the NDA's 158th course and the Indian Naval Academy's 120th course, due to begin on 1 July 2027.
Candidates should use the official UPSC written-result listing to check their own result. A result shared in a messaging group should not replace that check, particularly when a candidate is preparing to act on an interview or registration instruction.
The NDA route covers its Army, Navy and Air Force wings, while the Indian Naval Academy course is separately identified in the same announcement. Candidates should read the course and service details alongside the registration instruction. The July 2027 start date is a course date, rather than an SSB interview appointment.
Who needs to register now
The UPSC announcement directs successful candidates to joinindianarmy.nic.in. Anyone who has already registered on that website is not required to register again. This exception matters: the instruction is to ensure registration, rather than create another registration merely because a new result has appeared.
The notice expresses the time limit as within two weeks of announcement of the written result. It does not print a separate calendar deadline in the accompanying paragraph. Candidates should follow that wording from the 9 October announcement and check any subsequent official instruction rather than wait for an independently circulated closing date.
Selection centres and SSB interview dates will be communicated to successful candidates through their registered email address. The written-result notice itself is therefore not an interview appointment. Candidates need to distinguish the result stage from the later message that actually identifies where and when they must attend.
For registration queries or login problems, the notice gives dir-recruiting6-mod@nic.in. Interview questions can also be directed to the relevant service contact specified by UPSC. The Army contact for candidates whose first choice is Army is 011-26175473; the Navy or Naval Academy contact is 011-23010097, with officer-navy@nic.in as the email address.
For candidates whose first choice is the Air Force, the release lists 011-23010231, extensions 7645, 7646 or 7610. These are contacts in the official result announcement. Using the service-specific route for an interview question helps keep it separate from a general question about the examination or result listing.
Originals belong at the SSB interview
Candidates must produce original age and educational-qualification certificates before the relevant SSB during the interview. UPSC expressly says not to send the originals to the Commission. The distinction is practical: the published result does not ask candidates to post their certificates to UPSC as an extra step after checking their roll number.
Marks and cutoffs will be published only after the entire examination process is complete and the final result has been declared. UPSC says that information will then remain on its website for 30 days. A written qualification list and a final marks statement answer different questions; the present announcement does not establish a final merit position.
For general examination clarification, UPSC's campus facilitation counter is available on working days from 10 am to 5.30 pm. Its candidate helpdesk numbers are 011-24041001 and 011-40303444, available from 9 am to 8 pm on all days. These hours are those stated in the 9 October notice.
Readers tracking other recruitment or examination schedules can also consult Dalimss News coverage of RRB NTPC graduate recruitment and UGC-NET December applications. Their deadlines and processes are separate. For NDA II, the present priority is the official registration instruction, followed by the selection-centre and interview communication.
