NBEMS asks 2026 Post Diploma DNB joiners to file OPJR Joining Report

Post Diploma DNB trainees who joined in the 2026 admission session now have a fixed Online Portal for Joining and Registration clock for their Joining Report and Self-Appraisal Form. Kind attention is to all NBEMS-accredited hospitals and institutes, and to candidates who have joined Post Diploma DNB courses during the 2026 admission session. The requirement covers seats allotted by NBEMS and seats allotted by State Government, Railways, PSUs or ESIC under the respective in-service quota, as applicable. In-service quota joiners must also complete the prescribed joining formalities on OPJR and submit the requisite documents within the stipulated timeline.

How joining and Self-Appraisal move on OPJR

For seats allotted by NBEMS, the trainee completes joining formalities on OPJR, the hospital or institute submits the Joining Report by uploading Annexure-A, the trainee submits the Self-Appraisal Form, and the hospital or institute verifies that form. For in-service seats allotted by State Government, Railways, PSUs or ESIC, the hospital or institute first submits allotment details on OPJR, then the trainee completes joining formalities, the hospital uploads Annexure-A, the trainee submits Self-Appraisal, and the hospital verifies it.

The Self-Appraisal Form is meant to help determine eligibility for provisional registration as a Post Diploma DNB trainee under the relevant Information Bulletin and applicable NBEMS rules. Accredited hospitals must ensure the trainee meets eligibility before permitting join and while verifying Self-Appraisal. Original documents on qualifications, experience, category and other requirements must be checked with due diligence. If a hospital knowingly or negligently forwards false, fabricated, incorrect or deficient records for joining or registration, it may face action under NBEMS norms, including a monetary penalty of Rs 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh) per such candidate, wherever applicable.

Portal open dates, relieving rules and provisional registration

OPJR shall be made live from 07.09.2026. Trainees must finish their formalities from 07.09.2026 to 11.10.2026. Hospitals and institutes must finish from 07.09.2026 to 31.10.2026. The timelines are to be strictly adhered to. Candidates and hospitals are advised to complete well before the last date.

Joining must fall inside the reporting or joining window of the relevant counselling or admission round. Hospitals shall not extend the prescribed joining date without prior NBEMS approval. In-service or Government or PSU employed candidates may join only after submission and verification of the Relieving Order or Relieving Letter from the parent organisation, wherever applicable. Training done before being duly relieved is not recognised as valid NBEMS training and is treated as null and void. After successful joining formalities, Self-Appraisal submission and hospital verification, and subject to eligibility, a Letter of Provisional Registration will be issued. That letter is purely provisional. Mere issuance does not confer a vested right to continue the course, appear in the Final Examination or claim the NBEMS qualification if ineligibility or misrepresentation is found later.
