MCC Notice 19: Round-2 seats, choice pause

The Medical Counselling Committee has put three fresh All India Quota MBBS blocks into the Round-2 seat matrix and stopped choice filling for a few hours while the list loads. Notice No. 19, Ref. U-11011/07/2026-MEC, Dated: 05.09.2026, is a one-page Directorate General of Health Services file from the Office of MCC. The letterhead email is adgme@nic.in. The Word title on the local copy is the addition notice for Round 2 of UG Counselling 2026 dated 05.09.2026. CreationDate on the PDF is Sat Sep 5 11:44:50 2026 UTC, which is 17:14 IST the same evening.

MCC says it received institute information dated 05.09.2026 about seats to be added to the Round-2 seat matrix of UG Counselling 2026. Those seats are now in the matrix. Candidates will be able to exercise choice filling for them. Because of the addition, the choice filling process will be temporarily halted and will resume after 07:00 PM today, i.e., 05.09.2026. That pause-and-resume line is the operational clock on this notice. It is not a new Round-2 registration window and it is not a joining date.

Three institutes, thirty All India Quota MBBS seats as printed

The enclosed list names three colleges, each with an institute code, the course MBBS, and the number of All India Quota seats to be added with category break-ups.

Bagalkote Medical College and Research Institute Office, Bagalkote, institute code 904771, adds 15 All India Quota seats: UR-06, ST-01, SC-02, OBC-03, OBC PwD-01, EWS-02. The row notes intimated by college.

Government Medical College Chapra (Saran), institute code 904772, adds 07 All India Quota seats: UR-04, SC-01, OBC-02.

Shri Ram Janki Medical College and Hospital Samastipur, institute code 904773, adds 08 All India Quota seats: UR-01, UR PwD-01, ST-01, SC-02, OBC-02, EWS-01.

Together that is 15 + 7 + 8 = 30 All India Quota MBBS seats printed on this one-page notice. Do not treat that sum as a statewide Round-2 vacancy total. It is only what Notice 19 lists for these three codes.

What the pause means for choice filling

If you were mid-list when the halt hit, the notice does not invent a separate reopen portal. It says choice filling resumes after 07:00 PM on 05.09.2026. After that hour, the newly added Bagalkote, Chapra and Samastipur rows should be available for choice filling along with the rest of the Round-2 matrix then on the site.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official MCC website, www.mcc.nic.in, for further updates and important information. That is the only channel this notice names. It does not print a fee change, a registration reopen, or a physical-reporting date for these seats.
