MCC refreshes NEET UG Round 3 clear and virtual vacancy lists on 24 September

NEW DELHI: Candidates still locking All India Quota and Deemed preferences for NEET UG 2026 Round 3 should reopen the Medical Counselling Committee current events page. On 24 September MCC replaced the earlier Round 3 vacancy uploads with a fresh Clear Vacancy Round 3 PDF for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing, a larger Virtual Vacancy Round 3 file for the same courses, and an updated Newly Added Seats Round 3 pack for MBBS and BDS.

The 24 September Clear Vacancy file runs to about 96 pages of institute-wise and category-wise open seats across States and Union Territories. The Virtual Vacancy Round 3 upload is heavier still and maps seats that can open if earlier-round holders upgrade or exit while Round 3 choices are processed. Together they are the matrices students should read before the choice-filling window closes, not informal college lists forwarded on messaging apps.

What changed from the 23 September uploads

MCC had already posted Clear, Virtual and Newly Added Round 3 PDFs on 23 September. The 24 September set carries new upload identifiers on the same current-events-ug page and should be treated as the live reference for remaining choice work. Families who saved screenshots from the earlier files should download the new three-file bundle and re-check any college they still hope to keep high in the preference order.

The Newly Added Seats Round 3 PDF continues to list about 183 MBBS and BDS seats outside the earlier Round 3 base picture. Named rows again include All India Quota MBBS blocks at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Government Medical College, Ahilyanagar, in Maharashtra, Late Jagjivan Ram Government Medical College, Pithoragarh, in Uttarakhand, and Agartala Government Medical College in Tripura. Deemed blocks in the same sheet include 100 BDS seats at Datta Meghe Dental College, Hospital and Research Centre, Nagpur, and 50 MBBS seats at Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Karaikal.

Round 3 clock candidates must still honour

Round 3 registration and payment run through 27 September, with choice filling and locking due by 12:00 noon on 28 September under the online counselling schedule already published by MCC. Seat allotment processing is listed for 28 and 29 September, the Round 3 result for 30 September, and college reporting from 1 to 9 October 2026.

Anyone who has paid for Round 3 should open the refreshed Clear and Virtual lists first, note colleges that match their rank band and category, then cross-check the newly added sheet so a new government or Deemed row is not missed. Choice locking remains a hard stop at noon on 28 September. Saturdays and Sundays count as working days for counselling clocks, as MCC has told institutes in earlier Round 2/3/4 guidance.

Round 3 is not the last MCC window on the calendar. An Online Stray Vacancy Round is sketched after Round 3, with registration in mid-October. That stray round is a backup, not a reason to skip careful Round 3 choice work this week. A seat abandoned casually now can cost both time and the chance at a preferred AIQ or Deemed college.
