MCC publishes NEET UG Round 3 clear and virtual vacancy lists with newly added seats

NEW DELHI: Candidates still building All India Quota and Deemed preferences for NEET UG 2026 Round 3 now have the seat picture the Medical Counselling Committee uploaded on 23 September. Three PDFs on the MCC current events page set out Clear Vacancy Round 3 for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing, Virtual Vacancy Round 3 for the same courses, and a shorter Newly Added Seats Round 3 pack for MBBS and BDS.

Round 3 registration and payment already run through 27 September, with choice filling and locking due by noon on 28 September under the online counselling schedule published earlier. The fresh vacancy files are the practical companion to that calendar: they show which colleges and categories still have open or virtually open seats while choices are being locked.

Clear, virtual and newly added seats

The Clear Vacancy Round 3 PDF runs to dozens of pages and lists institute-wise, category-wise open seats across States and Union Territories for All India Quota and related pools. The Virtual Vacancy Round 3 file is larger still and captures seats that can open if earlier round holders upgrade or exit during processing. Together they replace guesswork with the official matrix students should read before finalising Round 3 choices.

Separately, the Newly Added Seats Round 3 PDF adds about 183 MBBS and BDS seats that were not in the earlier Round 3 picture. The list includes All India Quota MBBS rows at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Government Medical College, Ahilyanagar, in Maharashtra, and at Late Jagjivan Ram Government Medical College, Pithoragarh, in Uttarakhand, plus Agartala Government Medical College in Tripura. Deemed blocks in the same file include 100 BDS seats at Datta Meghe Dental College, Hospital and Research Centre, Nagpur, and 50 MBBS seats at Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Karaikal.

What Round 3 candidates should do this week

Anyone who has paid for Round 3 should open the Clear and Virtual lists, note colleges that match their rank band, and then cross-check the newly added sheet so a new GMC or Deemed row is not missed. Choice locking remains a hard stop at 12:00 noon on 28 September. Seat allotment processing is listed for 28 and 29 September, with the Round 3 result due on 30 September and college reporting from 1 to 9 October 2026.

Families chasing AIIMS, JIPMER, Central University, Deemed or 15 percent AIQ seats should treat Saturdays and Sundays as working days for counselling clocks, as MCC has directed institutes earlier in the Round 2/3/4 pack. Download the three 23 September PDFs from the MCC UG current events page, keep screenshots of the rows you care about, and lock choices only after the newly added seats have been reviewed once.

Candidates should also remember that Round 3 is not the last MCC window on the calendar. The same earlier schedule sketch lists an Online Stray Vacancy Round after Round 3, with registration in mid-October. That stray round is a backup, not a reason to skip careful Round 3 choice work this week. A seat abandoned casually in Round 3 can cost both time and the chance at a preferred AIQ or Deemed college.

Keep fee receipts, score cards and category certificates in one folder for 1 to 9 October reporting. If a newly added college appears in your locked list, confirm hostel and fee details from the institute page after the 30 September result rather than relying on informal forwards.
