MCC re-uploads NEET UG Round 1 provisional allotment after PwD certificate error; final result due 22 August

MCC Notice No. 12 landed on Friday with a correction that will have many NEET UG aspirants logging in again. The Medical Counselling Committee has re-uploaded the Round 1 provisional result after a PwD-certificate upload error at a Primary Assessment Centre. This is not a new round. It is a revised provisional file replacing the one candidates may already have saved.

The notice carries Ref. U-11011/07/2026-MEC and is dated 21 August 2026. It tells candidates to check the revised provisional result carefully. Any discrepancy could be flagged through the Candidates Grievances and Query Redressal System on the Candidate Login portal until 08:00 AM on 22 August 2026. That grievance cut-off has already passed for anyone reading later on Saturday, so the focus now shifts to waiting for the final Round 1 result.

Notice No. 12: what the committee actually said

MCC has been blunt on one point: the revised provisional result is only indicative. Candidates cannot claim a right over a seat shown in that file, and the notice states that the revised provisional result cannot be challenged in court. Families circulating WhatsApp screenshots of the pre-correction list should stop treating those images as final.

The error that forced the re-upload was tied to PwD certificate uploading by the Primary Assessment Centre. PwD candidates — and anyone whose documents moved through that pathway — have the strongest reason to re-open the portal. Others should still confirm their entry. An allotment that looks unchanged on memory may not match the amended file.

Notice No. 12 is clear on timing of travel: approach the allotted college or institute only after the final result is declared. Reporting on the strength of the provisional file alone is not what MCC has asked for.

MCC’s UG counselling materials, as updated on the portal, have pointed to final Round 1 publication on 22 August 2026, with institute reporting commonly listed through 31 August in the same schedule cluster. Exact clock time for the final upload can still shift within the day. Watching the portal through Saturday is safer than assuming a fixed minute.

When the final letter is out, reporting typically means originals: allotment letter, NEET UG scorecard and admit card, identity proof, academic certificates, and category or PwD papers where claimed. Institutes check those against the online record. Carry self-attested copies as well if the institute checklist on the MCC site asks for them.

How to treat the re-uploaded file

Log in at mcc.nic.in. Open the amended Round 1 provisional allotment. Note whether a seat appears, disappears or changes. Download from the revised file, not from an older PDF on a phone. Keep both a digital and a printed copy once the final result replaces the provisional one.

MCC has not dressed this up as a fresh counselling round. It is a correction and re-publication after the PwD-certificate upload error. Seat retention still depends on timely reporting with originals after the final result — provisional online allotment does not finish admission.
