Mangal Pandey Jayanti Programme Held at Banaras Railway Guest House
Varanasi, July 19, 2026: A commemorative programme marking Mangal Pandey Jayanti was held at Banaras Railway Guest House, with Ballia Lok Sabha MP Sanatan Pandey among those attending.
Participants paid tribute to Mangal Pandey and recalled his role in the uprising of 1857 and India’s freedom struggle. The gathering focused on the continuing public memory of the revolutionary and the importance of teaching younger generations about the independence movement.
