Maharashtra LLB 3-Year CAP Round II option filling open 22–24 August

Law aspirants on Maharashtra’s three-year LLB track are mid-way through CAP Round II option filling. The State Common Entrance Test Cell’s revised schedule opens the college option form from 22 August to 24 August 2026. Vacant seats for this round were displayed on 21 August.

The notice is specific: Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Revised Schedule for LLB 3 Yrs Course, Academic Year 2026–27, issued as No. HED-1126/CR.No.25/LLB 3 Yrs/CAP Sch_26/1946/2026 and dated 10 August 2026. It is signed by the Commissioner and Competent Authority, Maharashtra State CET Cell, Mumbai.

Round II window on the revised CAP schedule

Round I allocation was listed for 14 August at 5:00 PM, with Round I college reporting from 17 to 20 August and colleges uploading admitted candidates by 21 August. Earlier Round I steps on the same PDF ran from candidate registration (11 June–13 July) through e-scrutiny of uploaded documents (12 June–16 July), the alphabetical list (17 July), grievance edits (17–20 July), the final merit list (24 July) and Round I option filling (5–11 August). Round II is the next seat pass for those still looking, or those eligible to move on vacancies.

Eligible candidates should complete the online option form inside the 22–24 August band through the CAP login linked from the Cell’s 2026–27 CAP hub. Leaving the form unconfirmed is the usual way a list never reaches the allocation engine.

Unregistered CET-qualified candidates who still need a registration path for later rounds should note the separate registration window running from 5 August to 5 September 2026 for Round III and the institutional-level round. That line does not replace Round II option filling for candidates already inside CAP.

After allocation on 27 August

Allocation for Round II is scheduled on 27 August 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates allotted a college then report and seek admission from 28 August to 1 September 2026. Colleges must upload the admitted-candidate list on the portal by 2 September 2026.

Round III follows under the same revised PDF. Vacant seats display on 3 September. Already-filled candidates may edit the CAP application if required, and all candidates fill the college option form, from 3 to 5 September. E-scrutiny of uploaded documents and application forms by the Expert Committee runs 3–7 September. The alphabetical merit list for Round III is listed for 9 September, with grievance edits on 9 and 10 September, the final merit list on 15 September, and Round III allocation on 17 September at 5:00 PM. College reporting for Round III is 18–21 September; colleges upload admitted candidates by 22 September. Anyone treating Round II as the last chance should re-read that later block before walking away from a workable allotment.
