Maharashtra MBA/MMS institute quota and vacant-seat round runs 8 to 15 September

Under the State CET Cell admission notice for MBA/MMS academic year 2026-27, institute quota and vacant seats after CAP are scheduled from 08.09.2026 to 15.09.2026. The parent file is Admission Notice No. 3/2026/1698, No. TED 1226/C.R. 07/CAP/MBA/MMS, dated 16/07/2026, for First Year full-time MBA/MMS in Government, Government Aided, University Managed Institutes, University Managed Departments and Unaided private professional educational institutes in Maharashtra. Activity 28 on that schedule is the institutional stage now open.
This is an institute-level MBA/MMS admission stretch after the Centralised Admission Process rounds. It is not the 04.09.2026 caste validity certificate extension for SC, VJ, NT and SBC professional-course admits. Candidates chasing vacant MBA/MMS seats should follow the management CAP schedule and institute notices, not the Social Justice CVC circular.
What Activity 28 requires from institutes and candidates
Activity 28 states that for Institute Quota and Vacant seats after CAP, if any, the respective institute will complete the admission activity by displaying vacant seats on the institute website and giving appropriate advertisement in the newspaper, inviting applications from registered candidates, preparing and displaying the merit list on the college website and Institute Notice Board, and carrying out or completing the admission process by following Government Admission Rules as per Rule 13 of the Information Brochure AY 2026-27. The printed schedule cells for that block run from 08.09.2026 to 15.09.2026.
Immediately before that block, Activity 26 allowed online submission of the Option Form for Institute Level admissions from 03.08.2026 to 07.09.2026. Activity 27 transfers the institute-wise candidate list to the respective institute on 08.09.2026. Candidates who want institutional quota or post-CAP vacant seats must first complete mandatory registration and document verification at a Scrutiny Center. After that, they must either apply directly to chosen colleges or fill the Institute Level Option Form through candidate login so colleges can generate and publish merit lists as per the schedule. That instruction is printed as Important Instruction 17 on the same notice.
Registration for admission is on www.mahacet.org. Candidates who registered for MBA/MMS CET 2026 pay no separate admission-registration fee. Other candidates with a valid 2026-27 score in CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT or GMAT who did not register for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2026 pay the printed online fee (Rs 1500 for General/OMS/Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Migrant; Rs 1300 for listed Maharashtra reserved, EWS, SEBC, PWD, Orphan and Transgender categories). Fees paid are non-refundable. Eligibility remains as per the Information Brochure.
Cut-off, refund and reporting stamps around the institutional window
Activity 29 sets the last date for cancellation of a seat with full fees refund at 13.09.2026, as per Rule 15 of the Information Brochure AY 2026-27. Activity 30 sets the cut-off date for all types of admissions for academic year 2026-27 at 15.09.2026 up to 05:00 PM. Activity 31 sets the last date for institutes to upload details of admitted candidates at 15.09.2026 up to 05:00 PM. Those three stamps close the institutional window: refunds by 13.09.2026, every admission type and institute data upload by 15.09.2026 5:00 pm.
The schedule footnote says the displayed calendar is provisional and may change under unavoidable circumstances, with any revised schedule to be notified on www.mahacet.org. Help lines printed on the notice are 7669861010 and 18004106363 between 10:00 A.M. and 06:00 P.M., with a messaging or ticketing system inside candidate login. Document verification activity remains open all days including Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 A.M. and 05:30 P.M.
Keep this MBA/MMS institute and vacant-seat round separate from other Maharashtra CAP stories already live on this desk, including ME CAP Round-4 seat acceptance and LLB 3 Years CAP Round-III vacant-seat options. Those are different courses and different schedule PDFs. For MBA/MMS, the institutional facts that matter now are the 08.09.2026 to 15.09.2026 Activity 28 window, the 13.09.2026 full-fee refund last date, and the 15.09.2026 5:00 pm cut-off and institute upload.
Admission Notice No. 3/2026/1698 dated 16/07/2026 is the MBA/MMS CAP calendar that places Institute Quota and Vacant seats after CAP between 08.09.2026 and 15.09.2026, with all admissions and institute data uploads closing at 05:00 PM on 15.09.2026.
