GURUGRAM: Most Gurugram film plans default to the big multiplex chains in the large malls. Legend Cinemas, the cinema arm of the Gurugram-based Legend Group, now lists two sites in the city: its Lounges cinema at Mall Fifty One in Sector 51 and a newer four-screen cinema at Newtown Square Mall in Sector 95A. This guide sets out what the company's own website says about each, as read on 6 October 2026.
The Sector 51 cinema, which the website calls Legend Cinemas Lounges, is on the 2nd Floor of Mall Fifty One. The company lists it as its signature location with 4 screens and 179 seats. That seat count is small for four screens, and the reason is the seating itself: the website describes it as India's first bed-lounge cinema, a claim Dalimss News has not independently checked.
According to the experience page, the Lounges cinema replaces conventional seats with bed-style suites. Each comes with cushions, a personal table and a complimentary blanket, and the site also mentions concierge-style service. The home page describes this suite format as exclusive to Gurugram, so it is not offered at the chain's other cinemas in Bhiwadi and Zirakpur.
The second Gurugram site, Legend Cinemas Newtown Square, is on the 2nd Floor of Newtown Square Mall in Sector 95A, in the newer sectors of the city. The cinemas page marks it as a new location with 4 screens but does not give a seat count. The site describes it as combining architectural elegance, audio-visual technology and hospitality. The amenities listed for it are premium cinema seats, an advanced sound system, premium refreshments and clean washrooms, with no mention of the bed-lounge suites.
Seats, screens and food
Across all its cinemas, the experience page lists motorised recliner seats with a full-length leg rest and USB charging at every seat, gently curved screens and 4K digital projection. The about page mentions 4K laser projection. On sound, the site speaks of multi-channel surround systems with professional acoustic calibration, and the Sector 51 listing specifically names Dolby audio.
The home page also describes three seating types: the bed-lounge suites, signature recliner suites at all locations and premium sofa lounges for couples and groups on select screens. The website does not say which seat types are installed at the Sector 95A cinema beyond the general amenities above, so readers who want a particular seat should check the seat map while booking.
On food, the experience page lists popcorn varieties, nachos, snacks and hot beverages, with in-seat delivery at select locations. No menu or price list appears on the pages we read, so Dalimss News is not quoting any food prices. The site also offers private bookings of an entire screen for birthdays, anniversaries or corporate events, with custom screening times and a coordinator, on request.
For tickets, the website points to an online ticketing partner through the Book Tickets button on each cinema, says walk-in tickets are available at the box office and lists its own app as coming soon. The cinemas page does not publish ticket prices, which vary by film, show and seat type, so none are quoted here.
The movies page showed 10 films under Now Showing when we read it, a mix of Hindi and Punjabi titles, and listed Ramayana as coming soon with a date of 1 November 2026. Since the page does not say which film plays at which Gurugram cinema or at what time, the showtimes on the booking page are the reliable guide for any particular evening.
The same page shows a certificate against each title, which matters for families. Of the ten films listed, six carried an A certificate, three were UA and one, Hanuman Ansh, was rated U. Parents planning a family outing should check the rating before picking a show, since an A film is meant for adult audiences only.
Two practical points follow from the listings. With 179 seats spread over four screens, the Sector 51 cinema has fewer seats per show than a standard multiplex, so popular evening shows may fill up sooner. And because the bed-lounge format is listed only at Sector 51, readers who want that particular seat should not assume the newer Sector 95A cinema offers it.
The company says it is part of Legend Group, established in 2001, and that its first screens opened at Legend Centra Mall in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. It now lists four cinemas: the two in Gurugram, one in Bhiwadi and one in Zirakpur, Punjab. Its head office is given as Plot No. 4, 5, 6, Legend Square, Sector 33, Gurgaon.
For bookings and general questions, the contact page lists +91 965 000 2725, answered Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm, and hello@legendcinemas.com for partnerships and advertising. The page also has a message form with a topic for corporate and private screenings, and says replies come within 24 hours on business days. The same phone number appears against every cinema on the contact page.
If a film is part of a longer evening, our guide to entertainment at DLF CyberHub covers the other evening options in the city, while families on the Sohna Road side can look at our Airia Mall Sector 68 guide. Dalimss News has not visited either Legend cinema for this guide; the details above come from the company's website and may change.
