Telangana health university extends MDS reporting to 28 September, AYUSH and nursing registration

WARANGAL: Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences has pushed back three deadlines in two days, giving MDS allottees, AYUSH aspirants and nursing applicants in Telangana a few extra days over the weekend.

MDS: report by 2 PM on 28 September

The biggest change concerns candidates allotted MDS seats under the Competent Authority Quota in the first phase of counselling. The allotment list was issued on 22 September, and reporting was originally allowed only up to 4 PM on 25 September. A notice signed by the Registrar and dated 25 September extends that to 2 PM on Monday, 28 September.

Candidates who have not yet reported can go to their allotted dental college on or before that time, provided they meet all admission requirements and pay the prescribed fee. The university has warned that failing to report and complete admission within the extended time may lead to loss of the allotted seat under the counselling rules.

Principals of dental colleges have been told to let first-phase allottees report and complete admission within the new window. They must update the status of every candidate, reported or not reported, correctly on the university's counselling admission portal, and freeze that data by 2:30 PM on 28 September.

The extension also keeps the Telangana calendar close to the national one. The Medical Counselling Committee's MDS schedule allows AIQ Round 2 reporting until 30 September, and sets 1 October for the start of the academic session, so a later state reporting deadline may give candidates holding more than one offer a little more time to settle.

AYUSH registration open till 28 September

A notification dated 24 September extends the last date for online registration and submission of applications for BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BNYS courses under the Competent Authority Quota for 2026-27. The new deadline is 5 PM on 28 September.

This follows the admission notification of 16 September. Candidates who have not registered can do so at tsbahnu.tsche.in, the university says, and should refer to the notification and prospectus posted on the KNRUHS website on 16 September for eligibility and other details.

Nursing registration till 27 September

A separate notification, also dated 24 September, covers B.Sc. Nursing (four-year degree course) and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (two-year degree course) admissions under the Competent Authority Quota. Registration, which was to close at 5 PM on 24 September, is now open until 5 PM on 27 September.

That notice too refers back to the university's earlier notifications of 16 September for the rest of the process, including eligibility, fees and the documents to be uploaded.

What to do before Monday

None of the three notices changes eligibility or fee rules. They only buy time. For MDS candidates, the key is that the college must mark the admission on the portal before the 2:30 PM freeze, so reporting early on Monday, or before the weekend, is safer than arriving at the last minute. AYUSH and nursing applicants should finish payment and final submission well before the 5 PM cut-offs, since the notices do not promise any further extension.
