KNRUHS publishes provisional BHMS merit list for all India quota; grievances by 26 September

WARANGAL: A provisional merit list for BHMS admissions under the All India Quota for 2026-27 is now on the website of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, and candidates on it have until 4 PM on Saturday, 26 September, to object to any entry.

The five-page list, posted on 25 September, names 214 candidates. For each, it gives the NEET rank, roll number, score, name, gender and category. The university has said the final merit list will be notified only after grievances are considered.

Who made the list

Dalimss went through the list line by line. The top-ranked candidate on it has a NEET rank of 1,95,528 and a score of 435. The last entry has a rank of 11,53,238 and a score of 184. The list therefore spans nearly ten lakh places in the NEET order.

The list is arranged in order of NEET rank, so a candidate's serial number on it is effectively their position in the merit order for this process.

Women dominate the list. Of the 214 candidates, 187 are women and 27 are men.

By category, the largest group is Scheduled Castes with 55 names, followed by 35 in OC. Among the Telangana Backward Class groups, BC-B has 34, BC-E 26, BC-D 24, BC-A 10 and BC-C one. Scheduled Tribes account for 24 names, and five candidates are listed under OBC.

These figures are a count of the provisional list as published. They can change after grievances are settled, and the final list may add, drop or recategorise names.

How to raise a grievance

The university's instructions are short and strict. Any grievance about the merit list or a candidate's category must be sent to the email address knruhsayush@gmail.com on or before 4 PM on 26 September. Supporting documents must be uploaded or mailed along with the grievance by the same time. Grievances or claims received after 4 PM on 26 September will not be considered.

That leaves roughly a day for candidates to check their entry. The category column deserves the closest look, particularly the BC sub-group, since the university itself singles out category as a ground for grievance and it decides which reserved seats a candidate is considered for. Candidates should attach the relevant caste certificate or other proof rather than simply describing the error in the email.

What comes next

The notice does not give a date for the final merit list, the seat matrix or web options. It says only that the final merit list will be notified after grievances are considered. Candidates on the list should keep checking knruhs.telangana.gov.in over the weekend and early next week.

This list is separate from the university's Competent Authority Quota admissions for undergraduate AYUSH courses, for which online registration has been extended to 5 PM on 28 September under a notification dated 24 September. Candidates hoping for a BHMS seat in Telangana may need to track both processes, since the two quotas are handled under different notifications.

Being on this list does not guarantee a seat. It only confirms that the candidate's application has been accepted into the merit order for the All India Quota BHMS process at KNRUHS.
