The live window is the 2026 portal, not last year’s leftover. Kerala’s Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has extended online applications for DNB (Post Diploma) Course 2026 till 29 August 2026, 11:00 am. The extension PDF is CEE/251/2026-TA2, I/716762/2026, dated 22-08-2026, and it sits on cee.kerala.gov.in/dnbdiponline2026/ — a different URL from the 2025 course page that still hangs on the same domain.

CEE’s homepage this morning still flags it NEW: “DNB POST DIPLOMA COURSES - 2026 Online Application Submission - Last Date Extended till 29.08.2026 11am.” The 2026 application page itself now shows Application Start Date 19/08/2026 and Application Closing Date 29/08/2026. That closing date is the extension, not the original cut-off.

The 2026 notice, not the 2025 PDF

The original invitation is CEE/251/2026-TA2, I/711980/2026, dated 18-08-2026 (uploaded under the 20-08-2026 row on the 2026 notifications page). It opened the form from 19.08.2026 to 24.08.2026, 11.00 AM. The 22 August continuation notice simply keeps that facility live till 29.08.2026 11am and tells candidates to read the earlier notification for the rest.

Do not cite https://cee.kerala.gov.in/dnbdiponline2025/. That 2025 leftover still shows Application Start Date 31/05/2025 and Application Closing Date 08/06/2025, and its extension PDFs talk about 20.06.2025. Using those files for a 2026 form is how in-service doctors miss Monday’s clock.

Prospectus standing behind both 2026 notices is the Information Bulletin for DNB Post Diploma State In-service Quota 2026, approved by G.O.(Ms)No.186/2026/H&FWD dated 26-07-2026 (HEALTH-S3/190/2026-HEALTH).

Who this window is actually for

All State quota seats are earmarked for in-service candidates of Medical Education Service, Health Service or Insurance Medical Service under the Government of Kerala. Only those in-service doctors who have qualified in DNB PDCET-2026, conducted by the National Board of Examinations, may apply and register options.

The two-year Post Diploma DNB courses require a recognised postgraduate diploma in the same broad specialty, with the diploma final-examination result declared on or before 31 January 2026. Proof that does not establish that cut-off cancels the candidature. Candidates already pursuing an MD/MS/DNB course are ineligible until they complete or are discharged. CPS Mumbai diplomas other than DPB, DCH and DGO are out, following MoHFW letter No. C.18018/11/2021-MEP dated 30.04.2021. NMC or State Medical Council registration has to be produced at counselling or admission.

Upper age: 49 years as on the CEE notification date for Medical Education Service Quota; 47 years for Health Service Quota and Insurance Medical Service Quota. Application fee is Rs. 1,000, non-refundable, by card or net banking. After payment, upload photograph, signature and nativity proof. Option registration — specialty and institution combinations — is part of the same online process; the application is complete only after options are registered. The printout of the acknowledgement, with service documents, goes to the respective Head of Department (DME / DHS / DIMS). Nothing is posted to the CEE office.

Defective or incomplete applications are summarily rejected. No correspondence will be undertaken. After 29 August 11:00, candidates will not be allowed to add information or certificates.

Three seats, a bond, and two days left

Annexure 1 of the 2026 bulletin lists three seats. District Hospital, Court Road, Palakkad — Orthopaedics — one seat (DME). Mental Health Centre, Peroorkada, Thiruvananthapuram — Psychiatry — one seat (DHS). Government Mental Health Centre, Kuthiravattom, Kozhikode — Psychiatry — one seat (IMS). Unfilled DME seats roll to DHS, then to IMS; if no service candidate opts, the seat stays vacant.

Academic fee printed in the bulletin is Rs. 1,25,000, collected annually, first year online to the training institute at admission. Service candidates execute a bond to serve the Government for 10 years or until superannuation, including two years in a difficult and remote or rural area immediately after the course. Liquidated damages for a break after the final CAP equal the salary for the obligatory period, plus stipend drawn with 8 per cent interest. No admission is valid without the bond.

Helpline: 0471-2332120, 0471-2338487. Email: ceekinfo.cee@kerala.gov.in. Register on the 2026 portal, not the 2025 one, before 11:00 on 29 August.
