Kerala opens second-round B.Pharm vacancy options; register choices by 29 September

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has opened the second-round online vacancy filling allotment for B.Pharm under KEAM 2026. A notification dated 25 September (CEE/739/2025-TA1) says eligible candidates on the Kerala B.Pharm rank list can register options on www.cee.kerala.gov.in till 5:00 PM on 29 September 2026.

Option registration opened on 25 September. The tentative schedule printed in the notice puts provisional allotment on 1 October, final allotment on 3 October, and joining from 5 October to 7 October 2026 till 4:00 PM. The Commissioner has said no extension of joining time will be granted under any circumstances, so travel and fee arrangements should be ready before that cut.

Who can register and what fee applies

Candidates included in the Kerala Rank List for the B.Pharm course published by CEE can take part. The notice lists four eligible groups. First, those who already secured admission in government or private self-financing colleges in earlier phases. Second, those who did not take admission despite an allotment. Third, those who obtained a Transfer Certificate after admission. Fourth, those who have not yet received any allotment.

Option registration fee is Rs 2,000 for candidates who have not taken admission in previous allotments or who obtained a Transfer Certificate and wish to register fresh options in the stray vacancy allotment. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and OEC categories, beneficiaries under G.O. (MS) 25/2005/SCSTDD dated 20.06.2005 and G.O. (MS) 10/2014/BCDD dated 23.05.2014, and candidates from Sree Chitra Home, Juvenile Home and Nirbhaya Home shall pay Rs 500. The registration fee of candidates who secure allotment will be adjusted against the tuition fee. The fee of candidates who do not secure any allotment will be refunded. The fee will not be refunded for candidates who fail to join the allotted seat within the stipulated time; in such cases it will be treated as penalty.

Fresh options only; old choices do not carry over

Candidates must click KEAM-2026 Candidate Portal on the CEE website, enter application number and password, and register options through the menu Option Registration (B.Pharm) on the home page. Options submitted in earlier allotments will not be considered for this online stray vacancy allotment. Candidates who fail to register fresh options within the stipulated time will not be considered for this allotment.

Candidates who receive an allotment through this process will forfeit their existing admission. Options may be registered to all colleges where the candidate is willing to join, as newly vacant seats arising from transfers of already admitted students will also be filled in this phase. After allotment, candidates should take admission in the colleges before 7 October 2026, 4:00 PM, and remit the fee shown in the allotment memo at the allotted college as per the schedule prescribed by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
