Karnataka UGNEET Round 1 MBBS, BDS Result

The Karnataka Examinations Authority has published the first-round provisional seat allotments for MBBS and BDS admissions under Karnataka UGNEET 2026 counselling, with separate official lists for medical and dental seats.

The lists were posted on August 23 after KEA completed the provisional allocation exercise. They give registered candidates an early view of the seat assigned under the first round, but they do not amount to a final admission order.

KEA’s common notice for UGCET and UGNEET results expressly directs candidates not to report to the provisionally allotted college. The authority will examine eligible objections before it issues the final UGNEET Round 1 result.

Medical and dental lists are separate

Candidates should use the official UGNEET 2026 page and open the correct list: Medical for MBBS or Dental for BDS. They should locate their candidate details carefully and verify the college, course and allotment category shown against their record. A saved copy of the relevant page can help if they later need to document a discrepancy.

The August 23 publication follows earlier stages of the Karnataka process. KEA had displayed mock medical and dental allotments on August 17 and a provisional MBBS seat matrix dated August 19. The latest lists are therefore not the mock exercise, but they remain provisional until the authority publishes the final result.

Only candidates covered by the Karnataka counselling process and considered under the applicable registration, verification, eligibility and option-entry rules can receive an allotment. A NEET UG score by itself does not create a claim to a particular Karnataka seat; the allocation also reflects the candidate’s merit position, category, entered choices and the seat matrix.

This KEA process should also not be confused with the Medical Counselling Committee’s All India Quota counselling. Applicants must follow the authority responsible for the seat and quota in which they are participating.

Who can raise an objection?

KEA will accept a specific, supported objection to the provisional result until 4 pm on August 24, 2026. Its notice identifies the relevant situation as one in which a candidate met the published cut-off and entered the necessary options but did not receive a seat.

Candidates raising such an issue may email keauthority-ka@nic.in with their justification and supporting material. They should state their identifying details accurately, specify whether the issue concerns MBBS or BDS, and attach the saved option information and relevant cut-off evidence where applicable.

There are two important restrictions. An objection should not be filed when the absence of an allotment resulted from the candidate not entering the option. KEA will also not allow candidates to change or rearrange their choices at this point. The window is for correcting a possible processing discrepancy, not for reopening Round 1 choice filling.

Applicants who simply prefer another college should not treat the objection channel as an upgrade request. Repeated or unsupported messages are unlikely to assist verification and could obscure the candidate’s actual concern.

Wait for the final allotment before reporting

The provisional list should be checked promptly, but candidates should not surrender original documents, pay a college directly or travel for reporting on its basis. KEA has said the final result will be declared only after it verifies the objections received.

The August 23 notice does not specify the exact time at which the final allotment will appear. Candidates should monitor the official UGNEET page and read the fresh instructions issued with the final result. Those directions will govern the next steps, including any payment, admission-order or college-reporting requirements.

It is sensible to keep the NEET UG record, KEA application details, verification slip, category certificates and option-entry record ready while waiting. Candidates should also avoid acting on cropped allotment screenshots, as the medical and dental lists and the final status can be checked through the official KEA channels.

The immediate deadline is limited but important: verify the provisional MBBS or BDS allotment, send a well-supported objection by 4 pm on August 24 only if it fits KEA’s stated grounds, and wait for the final allotment before taking admission action.
