JNU is still taking willingness marks against leftover undergraduate and Certificate of Proficiency seats. The signed last-and-final-call notice on the university homepage is dated 25 August 2026. It keeps the portal open from 26 August to 29 August 2026, 11:50 pm. Friday, 28 August, is inside that window, not after it.

The tentative UG and COP schedule PDF still circulating on jnu.ac.in listed “Last and Final Call for expression of willingness — 26th to 28th August, 2026.” The later notice — No. Admission/5(i)/2026-27, issued with approval of the Competent Authority and signed by Deputy Registrar (Admissions) Manoj Kumar Manuj — is the clock this desk is using. It adds a day and a closing time.

This is UG and COP only. The same homepage also carries a last-and-final call for vacant PG seats. Do not mix the two logins or assume a PG willingness covers a BA (Hons.) language or COP vacancy.

What the 25 August notice actually says

Eligible candidates are those who appeared in CUET (UG) 2026 and already applied for admission to JNU’s UG and COP programmes. They may give willingness from 26.08.2026 to 29.08.2026 by 11:50 pm through the admission portal https://jnuee.jnu.ac.in/, “as per choice/preference already given by them in the concerned UG & COP programmes.”

One hard exclusion: “candidates who have been given admission as per their first preference are not eligible to participate in this process.” If JNU already seated you on your first choice, this call is not a betterment round.

Willingness is not an offer. Point 2 of the notice: mere expression of willingness “shall not create any right for admission in the University.” Point 3: offers follow after willingness is received, “as per merit and as per availability of seats.”

The process of admission in this last and final call “will be over by 15.09.2026.” No extension “of any kind” will be entertained beyond that date for qualifying-examination result, discontinuation certificate, employer relieving order, or SC/ST/OBC-NCL, EWS or PWD certificates. OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must be issued on or after 01.04.2026.

What the tentative schedule still lists after the call

The UG and COP tentative schedule PDF remains useful for the steps that follow a final list, not for the close of willingness. It had listed publication of the last and final list on 3 September 2026 (tentative); pre-enrolment registration and fee with blocking of seats of the final list on 3–5 September (tentative); physical verification of admission/registration for the final list on 9–10 September; and the deadline for admission/registration on 15 September 2026 — the same hard stop the 25 August notice repeats.

Earlier rows on that PDF (first merit list 3 August, second and supernumerary 12 August, physical verification 17–20 August) are the rounds this last call is mopping up. The UG and COP e-Prospectus for 2026–27 is linked from the same admissions block on jnu.ac.in. Programme lists and fee tables belong there, not in a rewritten schedule.

Who should be on jnuee this weekend

If you sat CUET (UG) 2026, applied to JNU UG or COP, still want a vacant seat in a programme you already listed, and were not admitted on your first preference, the 25 August notice is written for you. Log in on jnuee.jnu.ac.in, record willingness against the preferences already on file, and keep 11:50 pm on 29 August as the close. The notice does not invite a fresh preference tree.

If you never applied in the original window (12–22 July 2026, 11.50 pm, on the tentative schedule), this call does not open a new form. If you need time after 15 September for a result or a caste certificate, the Deputy Registrar has already said no.

This desk opened the JNU homepage, the 25 August last-and-final-call PDF, and the UG/COP schedule PDF on 28 August 2026 IST. The homepage still leads with the UG and COP vacant-seat notice. Check that page again before 11:50 pm on the 29th if a later circular moves the clock.

Sources and reporting

JNU homepage 28 Aug 2026 IST leading with “Notice reg. last and final call for admission to vacant seats in UG & COP prog. for AY 2026-27”. Signed notice No. Admission/5(i)/2026-27 dated 25 August 2026 (Deputy Registrar (Admissions) Manoj Kumar Manuj): willingness 26.08.2026 to 29.08.2026 by 11:50 PM on https://jnuee.jnu.ac.in/; CUET (UG) 2026 applicants who already applied; first-preference admits excluded; willingness creates no right; offers on merit and vacancy; process over by 15.09.2026; OBC-NCL/EWS certificates on or after 01.04.2026. Tentative UG & COP schedule PDF listed the same call as 26th–28th August 2026; the 25 August notice is the later, signed clock. Do not mix with the separate PG vacant-seat line on the homepage.
