Mr. Jagdeep Madhok Elected President Of Purvanchal Schools Welfare Association

Varanasi, August 25, 2026: Mr. Jagdeep Madhok has been elected the new president of the Purvanchal Schools Welfare Association, with the organisation forming a fresh executive committee at its general body meeting held at Benaras Club on Tuesday.

The meeting reviewed the association's recent activities and discussed its future plan of work, particularly on issues connected with private schools in Purvanchal. Members present at the meeting approved the new team unanimously, according to information shared after the session.

Schools Across Purvanchal Attend

Representatives of schools from Varanasi, Chandauli, Prayagraj, Mau, Mirzapur, Ballia, Jaunpur and other parts of the region attended the meeting. The association currently represents around 150 private schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and other state boards.

Speakers at the meeting said private schools are facing a changing set of challenges and that coordinated representation has become important for managements. Members discussed the need to keep school leadership connected, strengthen communication within the association and bring more institutions into its fold.

The discussion also reflected a wider concern in the education sector: individual schools often deal with regulatory, administrative and operational issues separately, even when many of those concerns are common. New Executive Committee

Under the new structure, Mr. Jagdeep Madhok will serve as president. Mr. Pushp R. Agarwal has been named general secretary, while Mr. Arvind Tiwari has been appointed joint general secretary. The association's founder president, Dr. Deepak Madhok, has been given the responsibility of patron.

Mr. Mukul Pandey, Mr. Pankaj Rajgharia and Mr. Prabodh Narayan Singh have been appointed senior vice presidents. Mr. Amardeep Singh, Major S.R. Singh and Ms. Pooja Dixit will serve as vice presidents. Dr. Girish Chandra Tiwari has been named treasurer.

After being elected president, Mr. Jagdeep Madhok thanked the members and said that receiving the association's responsibility was a matter of pride for him. He said the new team would work with member schools to carry forward the organisation's objectives and take up education-sector issues with commitment.

Youth Representation

The meeting also introduced a separate youth committee, aimed at bringing the next generation of school management into the association's work. Members said young representatives from school families and management teams should get a more active role in discussions that will shape the future of private education in the region.

The association believes that youth participation can add new working styles, better use of technology and a more current understanding of the pressures facing schools, parents and students.
