Constable Testifies on CCTV Evidence in IIT-BHU Case
Varanasi, July 18, 2026: A police constable associated with the presentation of CCTV material testified before Fast Track Court-I as proceedings continued in the case concerning the alleged sexual assault of an IIT-BHU student.
The witness was examined about the CCTV material placed before the court. Defence cross-examination remained underway at the end of the hearing.
The court is considering evidence led by the prosecution and the responses of the defence. The allegations have not been finally adjudicated, and the accused are entitled to the presumption of innocence unless convicted.
