ICAI Starts CA Foundation Exam-Support Series for September

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's Board of Studies began Series I of its “Success at CA Exam” sessions for September 2026 Foundation candidates on Tuesday. A second series is scheduled to begin on August 29, giving students two organised revision points before the examination.
The programme sits alongside the Board of Studies' mock-test papers, study material and digital learning resources. Candidates should use the official schedule to identify the paper, session time and access link rather than depend on a recording or timetable circulated without a source.
CA Foundation preparation can become crowded in the final weeks. A new revision series is useful only when it sharpens an existing plan instead of replacing it every few days.
Attend with a purpose
Students should enter each session with a short list of weak topics and questions from recent practice. Passive viewing often feels productive without improving recall. Taking a timed paper, marking errors and then using the expert session to resolve a pattern is more efficient.
The Foundation course tests Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics under the current scheme. Each paper demands a different revision method. Accounting benefits from written working and error analysis; law requires accurate understanding and structured expression; quantitative work needs repeated practice; economics needs both concepts and application.
Candidates should verify that any legislative amendment, study material or paper pattern discussed applies to the September 2026 attempt. Old videos can remain useful for a stable concept, but they may not reflect the correct examination cycle.
Two series do not mean two complete restarts
Series I can function as a diagnostic round. After it, students should identify the chapters that still produce avoidable mistakes, revise those areas and sit the official mock tests under examination conditions.
Series II, beginning August 29, is better treated as consolidation. At that stage, repeatedly changing books or joining several overlapping classes can fragment attention. One source of notes, the applicable ICAI material and a record of errors are usually easier to revise than a stack of disconnected summaries.
Students watching online should save the official timetable and note whether recordings or handouts will remain available. Internet problems during a live session should not become a reason to abandon the day's study; a parallel offline task keeps preparation moving.
Preparation also includes logistics
The final weeks should include checks of the examination form, admit card when released, centre location and permitted calculator rules. A technically strong candidate can still lose time through a late arrival or unfamiliar route.
Sleep should not be traded indefinitely for more screen hours. Foundation candidates often prepare alongside college classes, and fatigue shows quickly in calculation, reading and judgment. A realistic daily plan with timed breaks is more sustainable than an all-night cycle followed by an unproductive morning.
ICAI's support series gives candidates access to an official preparation channel, which is valuable in a market full of competing advice. Its best use is selective: compare the session with the syllabus, practise before and after it, and retain only the guidance that corrects a specific weakness.
Tuesday's start does not change the examination standard or guarantee a result. It does provide a structured checkpoint. Students who turn that checkpoint into written practice, rather than another video in a long queue, will gain the most from it.
