Himachal AMRU Round 1 provisional MBBS/BDS allotment dated 27 August; joining 1–3 September

Do not treat Himachal’s 27 August MBBS/BDS list as a boarding pass. Atal Medical and Research University, Mandi, has posted “Provisional Seat Allocation of MBBS/BDS 1st Round Counselling NEET UG 2026-27” on its counselling-notifications page. The covering notice — No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-120/2026-27(MBBS/BDS)-4856, dated 27.08.2026 — says the provisional list based on NEET UG 2026 “is released.” The list file itself prints “Released Date : Aug 27,2026.” Joining, on the revised Round 1 schedule, is 1 to 3 September. Those are different days.

The 27 August notice is the reason not to travel yet. “The Provisional Allocation is only indicative in nature and subject to change. The candidates cannot claim any right over the allotted seat on the basis of provisional merit and it cannot be challenged before the court of law.” Provisional allotment “shall not confer any right of admission.” Final eligibility and category claims stay with the Admission Committee of the concerned institute after it sees the papers.

What the 27 August notice actually released

AMRU is a state government university at the SLBS Government Medical College and Hospital campus, Ner Chowk, Mandi. The list covers first-round MBBS/BDS counselling: HP Quota rows into government medical colleges (Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla; Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda; and others), plus NRI, management and dental rows further down. This desk is not publishing a seat count or a last rank from that table.

Any discrepancy in the merit has to be mailed immediately to counselling.amruhp@gmail.com “upto 05:00 PM, 28.08.2026.” That is today. The notice also records that, following a Supreme Court order, the National Medical Commission created a supernumerary MBBS seat at Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba, and that the seat has been allotted as directed. Candidates claiming reservation must have valid, updated certificates in the prospectus format before admission starts. An outdated paper can drop the category even if the 27 August row shows it.

Final allocation, then 1–3 September joining

The revised Round 1 schedule PDF — WordPress upload 20 August 2026, titled “Revised Schedule for MBBS/BDS 1st Round Counselling 2026” — was recast “subsequent to the revised schedule received from MCC, DGHS New Delhi.” Dates this desk could read cleanly from that file: first-round final merit list 21 August 2026; filling and locking of course/college/quota choices 22 to 25 August 2026; date of joining the allotted college and course 1 September to 3 September 2026. The same revised-schedule table also lists first-round provisional seat allocation and first-round final seat allocation. Those two date cells were OCR-damaged in this pass. This copy does not invent a 29 August reporting date. Joining on the clean OCR line is 1 to 3 September 2026. Direct curl to amruhp.ac.in from this box failed TLS; the 27 August notice and the schedule were opened via counselling-notifications and WordPress media (allocation file stamped 27 August 2026, 17:55 IST). The 27 August notice is the provisional line. Final allocation had not been replaced by a “final seat allocation” PDF on the MBBS/BDS counselling shelf when this desk opened it on 28 August. Wait for that file, and for the downloadable allotment letter, before you treat a college as yours.

Choice filling is over. 28 August is a discrepancy-email day, not a preference day. Reporting is 1–3 September on the revised schedule, not 27 or 28 August. Carry originals only when the final allocation and the letter say to travel.
