Professor Himanshu Mishra Named Head of IMS-BHU Radiotherapy Department

VARANASI: Banaras Hindu University Vice-Chancellor Professor Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi has appointed Professor Himanshu Mishra as head of the Department of Radiotherapy and Radiation Medicine at the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU. The appointment is for three years, according to the university-related report published on Friday. No additional change to clinical services or departmental schedules was announced with the appointment.

The department sits at the intersection of medical education, cancer care and research. Its work typically involves radiation oncologists, physicists, technologists, nurses and support staff who plan and deliver treatment while monitoring safety.
