GURUGRAM: Haryana Tourism's official Gurgaon destination page lists seven golf courses in and around the city, ranging from an 18-hole championship layout to a nine-hole course on a research campus. This Dalimss News feature goes through what the tourism corporation's own listings say about each one, for readers who follow the sport or are curious about the Aravalli side of the district. It is a feature built on those listings and not a report from a visit.
The listings are short descriptions. None of them gives green fees, tee-time rules or opening hours, and most do not say whether non-members can play. Anyone planning a round would need to ask the course directly.
The seven courses, as listed
DLF Golf and Country Club is described as a 7,204-yard course designed by Arnold Palmer. The page says it has five tees on every hole, five lakes, and a cascading waterfall on the 17th hole.
Golden Greens Golf and Resorts is listed as spread over 275 acres at Village Sakatpur, about 25 km from the international airport. The page says the natural scrub changes colour with the seasons as the surrounding Aravalli hills do, and that the course has dramatic elevation changes, pot bunkers and subtle contouring.
ITC Classic Golf Resort is described as built over 300 acres at the foothills of the Aravallis, on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, about 35 km from the international airport. The listing gives an 18-hole, par 72 championship course of 7,114 yards, a 9-hole, par 36 course of 3,135 yards, a social club and a sports complex.
Karma Lakelands Golf Course is listed on NH-8 in Gurugram. The page mentions lakes, peacocks, birdlife and deer on the course, and says the Karma Golf Academy offers individual or group lessons. The Karma Club is described as having all-day dining, a swimming pool, tennis and a children's park, with chalets and villas for short and long stays.
Manesar Golf Course is at Sector 5, IMT Manesar. The page describes an 18-hole course with nine greens and an SSS of 70 on an area of 32 acres, set in the Aravalli hills.
Tarudhan Golf Course is listed as a nine-hole course in the Tarudhan Valley golf resort by Silverglades, with golf homes around it. The page says it was designed by Graham Cooke, a Quebec-based architect, and gives an office address in Sushant Lok Phase I.
TERI Golf Course is a nine-hole course with a driving range on the TERI campus on the Gurgaon-Faridabad road, about 6 km along the road. The page says the course and range are open to all, that membership is available on request, and that it began with six holes. It lists a small pro shop, caddies and a snack shop.
All seven pages are descriptive texts supplied to the tourism corporation, and some read as promotional in their own wording. Dalimss News has not checked present course conditions, ownership, access rules or prices, and the figures above are those on the pages.
