Goa DTE invites PG Allied Health Sciences applications at GMC; forms 1–4 September, entrance test 10 September

Forms open on 1 September. The entrance test is on 10 September. Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, as designated State Counselling Authority, has invited applications for Post Graduate Allied Health Sciences degree courses at Goa Medical College for 2026-27. The courses named on the advert are Master of Physiotherapy (MPT), Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT), M.Sc. (ECHO), Master of Optometry (M.Optom.) and Master of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (MMRIT). This is PG Allied Health Sciences at GMC. It is not MBBS. It is not B.Pharm in-person counselling.

How to file the form, and what the fee is

The application form is two pages. Collect it from DTE or download it from https://www.dte.goa.gov.in/pg-ahs-admission-form-0 (file: https://dte.goa.gov.in/sites/default/files/cad2026/pgahsform2026.pdf). The form, created 11:02 UTC / 16:32 IST on 28 August, asks for a single application. Encircle one course: MPT, MOT, ECHO, MOPT or MMRIT. Attach self-attested copies and proof of payment of the application fee of Rs.2,000. If you email the set, the specified subject line is ‘PG AHS’. DTE’s address on the form is Alto-Porvorim, Goa, 403512; phone 0832-2415106. No original documents go with the form. The admission committee will not take responsibility for loss of originals attached by mistake.

Eligibility and merit lists are to be displayed on www.dte.goa.gov.in. The form also points candidates to the prospectus for rules before they fill.

Compulsory rotatory internship must be completed on or before 15/09/2026. General Category needs 50% aggregate in the relevant undergraduate years; SC, ST and OBC need 40%. Indian nationals may apply; NRI, OCI and PIO holding an Indian passport may also apply. Two additional supernumerary M.Optom. seats are approved for international students holding a foreign passport. There is no age limit printed.

Entrance test, seats as printed, and the rest of the clock

The prospectus schedule matches the advert on forms and the test date. Last date of receipt of applications is 04/09/2026. The entrance test at GMC is 10/09/2026, 10.30 am to 12 pm. Display of eligibility and merit list is 24/09/2026 at 5 pm. First-round counselling-cum-admission at DTE, Porvorim, is “exact date to be notified”; last date for joining after the first round is 30/09/2026. Academic session starts 01/10/2026. Second-round joining last date is 17/10/2026. DTE may modify the schedule.

The test is 50 multiple-choice questions, one mark each, no negative marking, 1 hour 30 minutes, in the Examination Hall, 2nd floor, Faculty Block, Goa Medical College, Bambolim. Be outside the hall before 9.30 am and inside before 10.00 am. Separate papers run for MPT, MOT, M.Optom, M.MRIT and M.Sc. ECHO. Merit is the entrance-test score, then undergraduate-year tie-breakers. Group I (Goa University degree and internship) is allotted first; Groups II–IV follow only after Group I is exhausted.

Printed seat rows: MPT 3 seats in each of four specialities; MOT 3 seats in each of four specialities; M.Optom. 10 seats; M.MRIT 2 seats; M.Sc. ECHO 2 seats. Category percentages printed: SC 2%, ST 12%, OBC 27%, PwD 5%, EWS 10%. This desk is not adding those rows into a single college total. Fees on admission: Rs.2,000 admission (one time), Rs.67,540 tuition per semester, Rs.2,000 library deposit, Rs.2,000 hostel deposit; printed total Rs.73,540, with 5% annual revision. Admitted candidates execute a one-year Government of Goa service bond; leaving the course or violating the bond attracts a penalty of 50 lacs as per state guidelines.

Paper forms and emailed PDFs are taken only from 1 to 4 September 2026. The entrance test is on 10 September 2026 at Goa Medical College, Bambolim: 50 MCQs, 1 hour 30 minutes, no negative marking.
