Candidates who planned to reach Dwarka or affiliated campuses for Spot Round 3 offline counselling on Sunday can stand down. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has withdrawn the Spot Round 3 (Offline) schedule notified a day earlier, and the process will not commence from 23 August 2026.

The withdrawal notice, uploaded on 22 August 2026, cancels Notification No. 205/2026 (F.No. IPU-7/DI(Academic)/Offline Counselling/2026/2794 dated 21 August 2026). That earlier circular had set out the offline Spot Round 3 timetable for several undergraduate programmes. It no longer holds.

Which programmes were on the withdrawn schedule

Notification No. 205/2026 covered Spot Round 3 offline counselling for B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Com (H), Lateral Entry B.Tech, BA (English) and BA (Economics) through NLT/CET/CUET, limited to registered and not-admitted candidates for Academic Session 2026–27. All of that schedule stands withdrawn with the 22 August notice.

The university says a fresh Spot Round 3 (Offline) schedule will be uploaded shortly on the university website. No alternate start date is printed in the withdrawal notice itself. Anyone who blocked travel or leave for 23 August should wait for the new PDF before rearranging plans.

How this sits beside the Spot Round 2 disruption

The withdrawal lands in the same 24-hour window as the university’s decision to withhold and recheck Spot Round 2 online results for BCA, BBA, B.Tech, B.Com (H) and LLB after a counselling-software error. A companion fee notice also records that commencement of Spot Round 3 offline has been postponed while Spot Round 2 online outcomes are sorted.

Desk copy is treating the two tracks as linked in timing but distinct on paper: Notification No. 208/2026 deals with Spot Round 2 withhold and recheck; the separate 22 August withdrawal notice kills the Spot Round 3 offline start that had been fixed for 23 August. Candidates in LE B.Tech, BA English and BA Economics — programmes on the withdrawn Round 3 list but not on the Spot Round 2 withhold list — still need the fresh Round 3 calendar before they act.

What to do until the fresh schedule appears

Do not report for Spot Round 3 offline counselling on 23 August 2026. The university has said the round shall not commence from that date. Monitor www.ipu.ac.in and https://ipu.admissions.nic.in for the replacement schedule. Keep registration and document folders ready so that, when the new dates land, travel and fee steps can move quickly.

Registered-and-not-admitted status remains the gate described in the withdrawn notification’s title. Already-admitted candidates were outside that offline Spot Round 3 frame; the withdrawal does not reopen seats for them by itself.

As of Sunday, 23 August 2026, no replacement Spot Round 3 offline timetable had been posted in place of Notification No. 205/2026. Until it is, the only firm instruction from the university is that today’s start will not happen.
