Gas Booking Issues in Varanasi: Residents Gather at Agencies as OTP for LPG Booking Fails Ahead of Eid al-Fitr

Varanasi: Concerns are rising among residents in several parts of Varanasi as many people have reported difficulties in booking LPG cylinders through regular channels. According to information gathered by Dalimss News, some residents are facing issues while booking gas cylinders, with many saying that the OTP required for confirming bookings is not being received on their mobile phones.
Due to these issues, groups of people have been seen gathering at local gas agencies in different areas of the city to inquire about their bookings and seek assistance. Residents say they are visiting the agencies in person because repeated attempts to book cylinders through mobile apps, websites, or automated systems have not been successful.
Several customers told Dalimss News that after initiating a booking, the confirmation OTP is either delayed or not delivered at all, leaving them unable to complete the process. As a result, many households are worried about the availability of cooking gas in the coming days.
The concern is particularly significant as the festival of Eid al-Fitr is approaching, and many families are preparing for celebrations that traditionally involve large-scale cooking and gatherings. Residents fear that if the booking issues continue, it could create inconvenience for households during the festive period.
Some consumers also expressed concern that uncertainty over bookings may lead to increased rush at gas agencies if people begin visiting in large numbers to confirm their orders.
When contacted, officials and gas distributors in the city said they are looking into the issue and working to ensure that the booking system functions smoothly. They have advised customers to remain patient and continue trying through official channels while technical issues, if any, are being addressed.
Meanwhile, residents in Varanasi hope the situation will be resolved soon so that households can receive their LPG cylinders on time, especially with Eid al-Fitr just a few days away.
