Flipkart Ventures backs Keploy for AI-native software testing

BENGALURU: Flipkart Ventures on 28 September 2026 said it is backing Keploy, an open-source continuous verification platform that turns real application traffic into replayable regression tests and digital twin sandboxes. The note sits alongside support for Alive, which Dalimss has already covered separately; this report focuses on the Keploy side of the Flipkart Ventures announcement.
Keploy is built for engineering teams that need to catch regressions in new releases and in AI-generated code earlier in the lifecycle. Enterprises use it to replay production scenarios locally and inside CI/CD for mission-critical paths. Flipkart Ventures said selected startups receive capital support plus mentorship, operating help and access to Flipkart's wider ecosystem.
Nishant Verman, SVP of Corporate Development and Partnerships at Flipkart, said Alive and Keploy reflect founders using technology for real problems, and that Flipkart Ventures brings mentorship and ecosystem access to help early companies strengthen foundations. He did not disclose cheque sizes in the public note.
What Keploy actually does
Rather than writing every regression case by hand, Keploy records application traffic and turns it into tests that can run again when code changes. Digital twin sandboxes aim to reproduce production behaviour without pointing test suites at live customer systems. That matters as teams ship faster and as AI coding tools introduce larger volumes of new code that still need verification.
Founders Neha Gupta and Shubham Jain said Flipkart Ventures' backing is meaningful beyond capital because it opens work with Flipkart engineering teams at production scale. Their stated aim is to make continuous verification easier for developers and for AI agents that also write and change code.
Flipkart Ventures says it has backed more than 20 startups across AI, consumer internet, fintech and logistics tech, and points to an MoU with DPIIT to support technology startups in India. Portfolio companies can seek strategic integrations with Flipkart Group properties when the fit is clear.
Why this matters for Indian product teams
Indian SaaS and consumer apps increasingly ship weekly or daily. Test debt grows when traffic-shaped behaviour is hard to recreate in staging. A traffic-to-test approach will not replace product judgment, but it can shrink the gap between "works on my laptop" and "survives Diwali traffic".
Flipkart did not publish revenue, valuation or headcount for Keploy in the announcement. Buyers and contributors should read the open-source docs, check licence terms and run a pilot on one critical API path before treating the partnership as a finished enterprise stamp. For now, the hard news is that Flipkart Ventures has named Keploy as a portfolio bet in native-AI software testing for Indian builders.
DevTools investing from a large Indian marketplace's venture arm is still less common than consumer or fintech cheques. Keploy's traffic-to-test model fits Flipkart's own engineering culture of high release velocity. If Flipkart teams adopt pieces of the tooling internally, Keploy gains a demanding reference customer that smaller SaaS firms can cite.
Open-source contributors should watch whether enterprise features stay in open repositories or move behind a paid control plane. Security teams will ask how recorded traffic is redacted before it becomes a test fixture. Those answers will decide whether Keploy remains a developer favourite or becomes a procurement item with a security questionnaire attached.
