Flipkart's Axis Bank base discount allowance refreshed at midnight on 11 October, opening the second offer period of Big Billion Days for existing eligible cardholders. The refreshed window runs through 15 October, but its maximum base saving is lower than in the opening phase.
The change matters to someone who already used the first allowance and still needs another eligible device. It also gives shoppers comparing a saved basket with today's offer a reason to read the breakdown again. The retailer's sale itself opened to all customers on 9 October, as covered in our opening-day phone price check.
What changed at midnight
Axis Bank's published terms put the second-period base ceiling at Rs 1,500 per card, against Rs 1,750 in the first period. For eligible products outside the named mobile, grocery, Minutes and lifestyle categories, the non-EMI cap falls from Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,250. The EMI cap falls from Rs 1,750 to Rs 1,500.
The minimum eligible spend for mobiles and other categories is Rs 4,990. Selected mobiles have separate caps, so the electronics allowance cannot be assumed for every phone. The bank says another base refresh is scheduled for 16 October. Its bonus discounts remain once-per-card benefits across the sale, with no refresh.
The allowance is calculated on eligible net spending after other discounts and exchange redemptions. Part-payment with a gift card does not make the entire basket eligible: the amount charged to the qualifying card must itself meet the relevant threshold.
A Galaxy Book4 example at Rs 47,990
The live Flipkart listing showed the grey Samsung Galaxy Book4 NP750XGJ-LG9IN, with Core i3-1315U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD and Windows 11 Home, at Rs 47,990, price as of 11 October 2026, 2:19 AM IST. It displayed a separate Rs 256 Protect Promise Fee.
The ordinary Axis credit-card tile showed Rs 1,750 off. Its linked terms separated that into a Rs 1,250 base discount and a Rs 500 bonus requiring at least Rs 24,990 in eligible net spending. The bonus is available only once per card. It excludes Flipkart Axis co-branded, debit, commercial and corporate cards.
Subtracting the advertised Rs 1,750 from Rs 47,990 gives Rs 46,240 for the laptop. Including the displayed Rs 256 fee makes that Rs 46,496, before any other checkout charges or selected services. Someone who has exhausted the Rs 500 bonus should not expect that full reduction simply because the base allowance reset.
RetailNet was the displayed seller. The page offered purchase controls but had no delivery location set, so local availability was unverified. Exchange was marked unavailable at the displayed location. The offer popup said it lasted until 15 October at 11:59 PM, subject to stock. A Rs 599 installation service was also shown separately.
Check the model and the final amount
Galaxy Book4 covers several configurations. Samsung's own buying page lists Core i3, i5, i7, Core 5 and Core 7 choices, plus Book4 Edge and Book4 360 devices. It also offers different memory and storage combinations. A sale banner carrying the family name is therefore insufficient for a like-for-like price comparison.
Samsung lists two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports and an Ethernet connection for the standard Book4, with HDMI 1.4. Its Thunderbolt 4 wording applies to the Ultra and Pro models. Buyers should match the complete model number before treating a more expensive Book4 listing as evidence of a saving on this i3 machine.
Flipkart's sale page says individual promotions can be shorter than the main event. It describes hourly deals and brief price-reset promotions, and says delivery timing and shipping costs depend on the item, seller and location. Those conditions make a saved screenshot useful evidence of a displayed offer, rather than a promise that the same price will remain available.
Our earlier Amazon and Flipkart sale comparison explained why a percentage banner needs a spending threshold and a cap beside it. That report and the opening-day phone list carry their own dates; their device prices should be rechecked. For this reset, the practical comparison is today's exact variant, the card benefit still available to the buyer and the final payable total.
