GURUGRAM: Police have arrested five people for allegedly attempting to kidnap a 24-year-old man at gunpoint outside Galleria Market in DLF 4 on 21 September in a dispute linked to a Sushant Lok Phase 1 property deal involving his father, ACP (Crime) Naveen Sharma said as the arrests were detailed on 2 October.

The victim was identified as Sahil Arora. Police said he was leaving the market in a Honda City around 7.30 pm when three men who arrived in a cab allegedly intercepted him. One suspect sat in the front passenger seat with a country-made pistol while two others boarded the rear, according to the police narrative.

Sharma said Sahil raised an alarm and jumped from the moving car. The suspects fled after abandoning the car, tried to fire but the pistol misfired, and left the weapon inside the vehicle, which police recovered. An FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections covering kidnapping with intent to wrongfully confine, criminal conspiracy and attempt, along with Arms Act provisions, was registered at the DLF police station in Sector 29 on 21 September.

Who was arrested and what police allege

The arrested have been identified as Parveen Bhadana, 45, of Naya Gaon in Bhondsi; Sumer Singh, 31, of Laxman Vihar in Sector 3A; Shiv Shankar, 27, of Palla in Faridabad; and Aman Kumar, 25, and Hemant, 26, both of Mithapur in Delhi. Police say Bhadana allegedly planned the abduction after a property deal dispute with Sahil's father, Anil Arora, over a residential plot in Block C, Sushant Lok Phase 1.

According to investigators, Bhadana learnt that Anil had bought the plot for about Rs 10.5 crore and later sold it for about Rs 10.8 crore without keeping him in the loop, and allegedly planned to press ransom after kidnapping Sahil. Bhadana allegedly tasked employee Sumer with tracking Sahil and hired Shankar, Aman and Hemant for the attempt, police said.

Police further alleged that Bhadana gave Sumer two Apple AirTags linked to his account and that the tags were placed in family cars. Sahil's mother found one tag after an iPhone alert and informed police after the failed attempt, the Crime Branch said.

Shankar, Aman and Hemant were arrested from Faridabad on Thursday (1 October). Their questioning led to Sumer's arrest, and Bhadana was questioned and arrested after returning from Dubai on Tuesday, police said. All remain allegations until investigation and court process finish.

Anyone with CCTV from Galleria Market approaches around 7.30 pm on 21 September was asked earlier to share clips with the Sector 29 / Crime Branch desk.

This report treats the matter as one FIR with five named arrests and a police-alleged property motive. It does not present the plot dispute figures or the AirTag claim as proven facts beyond what investigators have put on record so far.

Upscale market parking pockets remain soft targets for confrontation when property or money disputes spill into public roads. The Galleria attempt, as police describe it, failed because the victim jumped and the pistol misfired; the investigation now turns on conspiracy proof and the recovered weapon.

Until charge sheets firm up, the public trackable frame is the 21 September FIR, the five arrests detailed on 2 October, ACP Sharma's named briefing, and the Sushant Lok Phase 1 plot dispute alleged as motive. Readers should not treat arrest as conviction.
