Fitbit Air lands in India at Rs 13,999, sale from 2 October

NEW DELHI: Google has brought the Fitbit Air to India at Rs 13,999, with sales opening on 2 October 2026. The screenless tracker is sold through the Google Store and retail partners including Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales. Four colourways ship at launch: Obsidian, Berry, Lavender and Fog. Every purchase includes a three-month trial of Google Health Premium for Google Health Coach access.

Fitbit Air is built as a small pebble that sits on the wrist without a display. Google positions it for people who want continuous health tracking without notification noise. Sensor coverage listed for India includes 24/7 heart rate, heart rhythm monitoring with atrial fibrillation alerts where available, SpO2, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and sleep stages with duration. The company rates battery life at up to about a week, with a five-minute fast charge said to restore a full day of use.

The tracker works with the Google Health app on phones running Android 11 or newer and Apple iOS 16.4 or newer. A Google Account is required. Google says automatic activity detection improves over time and can log common workouts without a button press. Users can also start guided sessions from the app or log activity manually. With a Google Health Premium plan, the Health Coach can turn sensor data into daily habit suggestions, including photo-based workout logging in supported cases.

Bands, colours and how you wear it

The pebble pops out of the strap so wearers can swap bands. Google lists three band families for the Air: a Performance Loop made partly from recycled materials and included in the box, an Active silicone band for wet workouts, and an Elevated Modern band sold as a style option. Not every colour ships in every market. The India launch pack covers the four device colourways named above.

Google also notes that Pixel Watch owners can wear the Air overnight for sleep tracking and switch back to the watch during the day without losing the broader health picture in the Google Health app. The company stresses that Fitbit Air is not a medical device and that heart features have age and condition limits, including restrictions around known arrhythmias for people under 22 in some markets.

India price, bank offers and where to buy

The India MRP is Rs 13,999. Launch-day bank promotions mentioned with the announcement include Rs 1,000 cashback on a full swipe, or the same cashback paired with a six-month no-cost EMI on select HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank cards, plus longer no-cost EMI options on consumer loans. Final checkout terms sit with the retailer and bank at the time of purchase.

For Indian buyers, the Air sits between basic step bands and full smartwatches. There is no always-on screen for messages or apps. The value pitch is lighter hardware, week-scale battery life, and Google Health Coach software behind a fixed India price that lands before the festive sale window. Stock and colour availability can vary by store from 2 October.
