Eleven Held After Mob Attack at Farrukhnagar Warehouse

GURUGRAM: Eleven people have been arrested after a group of about 30 allegedly entered a warehouse in the Farrukhnagar area and assaulted its owner and two workers late on Saturday, leaving all three critically injured. Police are examining camera footage and trying to identify the remaining participants.

The violence took place between about 9.30 pm and 10 pm at a warehouse near Kaliyawas. According to the complaint, the group arrived together, forced its way into the premises and attacked the three men with sticks. The injured were taken to hospital. Their condition was described as critical in the initial police account.

Earlier dispute is being examined as possible trigger

People in the area have linked the attack to a confrontation earlier in the evening. The account being examined by investigators is that warehouse workers allegedly made remarks at a girl passing the premises, after which a man intervened and argued with them. He is then alleged to have returned with relatives and acquaintances. This version has not been established independently and remains one possible explanation being tested in the investigation.

That distinction is important. The alleged conduct during the earlier exchange and the later group assault are separate questions. Even if an argument occurred, it does not establish the identity or role of every person who later entered the warehouse. Investigators will need to determine who organised the gathering, who carried weapons, who struck the victims and whether anyone tried to stop the violence.

Police registered a case on the warehouse owner's complaint and made the 11 arrests after local inquiries. An arrest is not a conviction. The people taken into custody are entitled to have the allegations and evidence tested through the legal process.

CCTV and medical evidence will shape the case

Footage circulating after the incident is likely to be central, but its original recording must be secured rather than relying on compressed clips shared on phones. Time stamps, the position of cameras and continuity before and after the assault can help investigators reconstruct arrivals, individual movements and the sequence inside the property. Police must also verify the authenticity of each clip.

The complainant has reported that a gold chain was missing after the attack. Investigators have not yet established whether it was stolen during the violence or lost in the confusion. Treating that point cautiously will prevent an unverified property allegation from being presented as settled fact.

Medical reports will document the nature of the injuries and may indicate the type of force used. The warehouse itself should be examined for damaged property, fingerprints and objects that may have been brought to or picked up at the scene. Statements from neighbouring establishments and mobile-location evidence may assist in identifying other participants.

For Farrukhnagar, the case is also a reminder of how quickly a local dispute can become collective violence when people are summoned instead of police being called. The immediate priorities are the treatment of the three injured men and a role-by-role investigation. A mass allegation is not a substitute for evidence against each accused, just as an earlier quarrel cannot excuse a group attack.
