SAN FRANCISCO: Dextr AI, a hospitality-focused AI agent platform, said on 24 September 2026 that it has raised $6.7 million in seed funding led by Elevation Capital, with Foundation Capital participating.

The company builds specialised agents for voice reservations, guest management, back-office staffing, sales and marketing. Its statement says the platform already handles more than a million interactions a month across hundreds of properties in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, including franchised hotels under Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western and IHG flags.

Elevation Capital's involvement gives the round a clear India venture link even though Dextr's current property footprint is largely Western. Krishna Mehra, partner at Elevation Capital, is quoted in the release backing the founders' hospitality and AI mix.

Doss Gen 1 and the agent stack

Alongside the financing, Dextr unveiled Doss Gen 1, a natural-language command layer so staff can direct the AI workforce by text or voice inside role-based permissions and audit trails. Named agents include Daisy for voice reservations in more than 90 languages, Alfred for guest requests and service recovery, Manny for rosters and back office, and Cosmo for marketing and direct bookings.

Founders are CEO Sajid Shariff, who has hospitality operating experience, and CTO Scott Arnold, formerly of Meta. The team is described as nearly 20 people with product and consulting backgrounds. The company says it is SOC 2 Type 2, PCI and GDPR compliant and can take voice payments, processing tens of millions of dollars in phone reservations per month for customers.

Case studies in the release include a reservation contact centre that generated $80,000 in incremental revenue within 60 days, a six-property group that cut 1,200 labour hours, and a resort that claimed about $120,000 in annual savings while holding guest satisfaction scores.

India angle and what is not claimed

The release does not announce an India hotel rollout schedule or local entity details. For Indian readers, the news is the Elevation-led cheque and the broader pattern of India-rooted capital backing vertical AI agents abroad.

Customer ROI figures in the press note — including a 49x return example and an 8 per cent EBITDA improvement claim — are company case studies, not independently audited metrics published with the round. Operators can trial the product at dextr.ai, according to the company.

Hospitality operators in India watching agentic software will recognise the problem statement even if Dextr's live portfolio is overseas: fragmented property-management tools, voice queues and labour cost pressure. What remains open is whether Elevation's cheque funds an India go-to-market team or stays concentrated on US and European properties where the company already cites Hilton and IHG franchise deployments.

Dextr invites operators to try the product at its website. No valuation was disclosed with the $6.7 million seed figure.
