GURUGRAM: With the wedding season and Navratri evenings coming up, a lot of people in Gurugram start looking for a dance class around this time of year, some for a sangeet, some simply to move more after work. One academy that lists a centre in the city is Delhi Dance Academy, which runs its main studios in Delhi. This guide sets out what its own website says about the Gurugram centre, the styles on offer and the fees, as read on 7 October 2026.

The academy's contact page gives the Gurgaon centre's address as South Patio Club, Block-D, South City II, Sector 50, Gurugram, 122018. The same page says its Delhi centre is in Amar Colony, Lajpat Nagar, with two studios. A single phone and WhatsApp number is listed for Gurgaon enquiries, general queries, corporate events and wedding choreography.

The menu of styles is long. The site lists Bollywood, contemporary, jazz, salsa, hip hop, b-boying and breaking, belly dancing and kids' dance classes, along with Zumba, power yoga, aerobics, gymnastics and self defence. It also lists masterclasses, a diploma in dance, wedding choreography, corporate workshops and online classes. The site does not say which of these run at the Sector 50 centre, so check that before you plan around a particular style.

The fees page states that its prices include GST. Weekday batches meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, three classes a week or 12 in a month, at Rs 3,500 a month. A quarterly weekday plan is listed at Rs 9,300 (all prices as of 7 October 2026, 9:00 am IST, as shown on the page).

Weekend batches meet on Saturday and Sunday, two classes a week or eight in a month, at Rs 3,000 a month, with a quarterly figure of Rs 7,800. The page frames the quarterly plans as cheaper than paying monthly, but anyone signing up for three months should weigh that against the refund rules further down.

Trials, drop-ins and the refund rules

For a first visit, the page lists a one-hour trial class at Rs 300 a person, paid before the class and to be booked in advance. If the student joins, the Rs 300 is adjusted against the first month's fee. If they decide not to join, the page says plainly that the Rs 300 is not refunded.

A drop-in class during an existing batch is listed at Rs 500 a person, also to be booked in advance. The page also sets out reductions for people joining together for a month: Rs 500 off the total for two people, Rs 1,000 off for three to five and Rs 2,000 off for six to eight. These are the academy's own published terms.

Private lessons are priced separately. The page lists Rs 2,500 an hour for a private class at the studio. For lessons at home for one to three people, it lists Rs 3,500 an hour within 5 km and Rs 4,000 an hour beyond that, though the wording of that line refers to areas in Delhi, so Gurugram residents should confirm how the distance is counted from the Sector 50 centre.

Offices are another market the academy pitches to. Its corporate rates for a one-hour session at an office run from Rs 3,500 for up to 15 people with one instructor, to Rs 5,500 for 16 to 40, Rs 7,500 for 41 to 60 with two instructors, and Rs 10,000 for 61 to 100 with three. The page says 18 percent GST applies on top of the corporate total, unlike the batch fees, which it says already include GST.

The refund terms are the part to read slowly. The page says fees, once paid, are non-refundable and non-adjustable. It adds that the academy will try to move a student to a batch in another dance form if one does not work out, but will not refund the fee, and that there are no make-up classes for sessions you miss.

There is one more caution about the website itself. The footer carries a copyright line from 2012 to 2020, and some comments on the fees page date from 2020. The batch timetable sits on a separate linked page that we did not rely on. It is fair to assume some details may have changed, so treat the figures above as the academy's published rates and confirm the current fee and batch times by phone.

For families planning a sangeet, the site also lists wedding choreography and studio hire, with studio details on a separate page about its Delhi studios. Wedding choreography rates are not on the fees page, so ask for a written quote that sets out the number of sessions and who will teach them.

A few practical questions are worth asking at the trial. Which styles are running at Sector 50 this month, how many people are in a batch, whether the weekday batches are in the evening, and whether the fee is the same at the Gurugram and Delhi centres. The fees page does not split rates by centre.

Dance classes sit alongside a wider set of group fitness options in the city. Our earlier directory of Pilates studios in Gurugram lists studios across several sectors, and our explainer on building a daily yoga routine with the Fit Gurugram campaign covers a free, slower option.
