Varanasi is set to witness major action in the codeine cough syrup smuggling case as Sonbhadra Police prepares to seize properties linked to the accused. According to sources, the properties of Shubham Jaiswal’s father and Bhola Prasad will be attached under legal provisions.
A police team from Sonbhadra has reached Varanasi, and the action may begin shortly. Bhola Prasad, one of the key accused, was earlier arrested from Kolkata by Sonbhadra Police. Authorities say the move is part of a broader crackdown on illegal drug trafficking networks operating across districts.
