CBSE holds live Q&A webinar on Registration and LOC for Board Examinations 2027

The Central Board of Secondary Education organised a live webinar on Registration and the List of Candidates for the 2027 Board Examinations on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, at its Integrated Office auditorium in Dwarka, New Delhi. Senior officials answered questions from principals and teachers in a live Q&A that was also streamed on the Board's official YouTube channel.

According to the CBSE press release dated 29 September 2026, the session followed earlier circulars on LOC submission for Class X and Class XII and on corrections in students' demographic details. The Board said the focus was to keep examination processes clearer for schools and less burdensome for students.

More than 450 school principals and educators from CBSE-affiliated schools joined in person at Dwarka. The livestream drew students, parents and other stakeholders as well. The Controller of Examinations presented the main steps in the Registration and LOC cycle.

Questions from the floor and from online participants covered correction of student particulars, subject selection and subject change, verification of LOC data, Registration for Classes IX and XI, and fee-related rules. Officials also stressed provisions for Children with Special Needs.

Where the Board stands on the calendar

CBSE has already opened the LOC process for Secondary and Senior Secondary Board Examinations 2027. Registration for Classes IX and XI is due to start shortly. The press release notes that these steps cover students in nearly 32,000 CBSE-affiliated schools in India and in 26 other countries.

Schools were told to check every entry before they lock data. Wrong names, dates of birth, subject combinations or category codes create downstream problems that students then carry into admit cards and result documents. For affiliated schools that have not finished demographic corrections flagged in the 23 September circular, the webinar was a reminder that those windows and the LOC fee schedule already published must be read together. The Board did not announce a new fee table in this press release. It pointed schools back to the existing LOC and correction circulars.

Why the Board framed it as student-friendly

CBSE described the webinar as part of an effort to make examination administration more transparent. Live answers to school queries are meant to cut down on conflicting advice circulating through informal channels. The Board closed by asking every stakeholder to treat the official website as the only authentic source for Registration and LOC instructions.
