CBSE has fixed five exam days, 23 to 28 October, for Class 12 students from West Asian countries who could not sit some papers in the March to April board exams. The board put out the date sheet for the Special Examinations for West Asia 2026 on 8 October, over the signature of Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj.
The circular, numbered CBSE/Coord/WASE/2026, is addressed to candidates appearing from West Asian countries. It follows an earlier circular dated 15 September 2026, in which the board asked these candidates to submit their List of Candidates (LOC) for subjects that could not be conducted in March and April "due to the prevailing situation". Only students who filled that LOC get a paper under this date sheet.
One centre has been fixed in each country, based on the LOC the candidates filled. The notice does not list the centres or say how many students are involved, so each candidate will learn the centre from the admit card.
Admit cards from 12 October
Admit cards can be downloaded from 12 October 2026 onwards. CBSE says candidates must use the same login they used while applying, so the school or student who filed the LOC should keep those credentials ready.
The board has not announced a separate helpline in this circular. Questions on a centre or a missing subject will have to go through the school that filed the LOC, or through the CBSE regional office that handles that country, using the contact details on cbse.gov.in.
Day-wise schedule for Class 12
Every paper starts at 10:30 AM. Most run three hours, to 1:30 PM. Two skill subjects, Physical Activity Trainer and Artificial Intelligence, end at 12:30 PM.
Friday, 23 October: Political Science (028), Economics (030), Mathematics (041) and Applied Mathematics (241).
Saturday, 24 October: Psychology (037) and Business Studies (054), both 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and Physical Activity Trainer (845), 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Monday, 26 October: Biology (044), Information Technology (802), Marketing (812) and Multimedia (821) from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and Artificial Intelligence (843) from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Tuesday, 27 October: Home Science (064), Informatics Practices (065) and Computer Science (083).
Wednesday, 28 October: English Core (301), 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Sunday, 25 October, is left free. The notice does not say how clashes between subjects are handled, so a candidate who sees two papers on one morning should ask the school or CBSE at once.
What students should check now
Match each subject code on the admit card with the date sheet before 12 October is out of mind. A wrong code is far easier to fix before the first paper than on the morning of the exam. Candidates should also confirm the reporting time and the exam centre in their country, since only one centre per country has been fixed.
The circular covers Class 12 only. It says nothing about results for these special papers or when they will come, and CBSE has not said whether the marks will be merged with those already earned in March and April. Those details, when they come, will be issued by the board through its website.
