GURUGRAM: Gurugram's art scene is usually discussed in terms of big malls, public murals and the odd ticketed show. Two smaller spaces in the south of the city work very differently. Atal Museum in Sushant Lok 1 opens only by appointment, and Gallerie Splash on Golf Course Road runs as a commercial contemporary gallery. This guide sets out what each one says about itself on its own website, as read on 7 October 2026.
Atal Museum describes itself as South Asia's first private museum dedicated to the arts and sciences. That is the museum's own claim, and Dalimss News has not checked it against other institutions. The site says it was set up in 2019 by the Chand Kumar Atal Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that supports research, practice and education in the arts, science and culture.
The address on the site is C 1000 A, Sushant Lok 1, next to the Vyapar Kendra complex. The most important line for visitors is printed in capitals: by appointment only. The site carries a short form where you give your name, contact details and when you want to come, and says someone from the team will get back to you. A phone number and email address are also listed.
According to the museum, the collection covers history, science, design, decorative arts and crafts, along with the material heritage of South Asian culture and lifestyle. It estimates the collection at well over 4,000 separate items. Most of it, the site says, comes from the personal collection of Dr CK Atal, gathered from India and South East Asia as well as Europe, Africa and the United States.
The museum's homepage quotes Dr Atal's view that science can be done artistically and art can be done scientifically, and the programme is built around that overlap. The site lists thematic exhibitions, curated shows from the permanent collection, talks and panel discussions, gallery tours and publications. The foundation also mentions grants and fellowships for people working where the two fields meet.
On the events section, an Emerging Artists Show was marked as ongoing on 7 October 2026, with no end date given. Two webinars were listed without fixed dates, one on the artwork of Sansar Chand marked time to be decided, and one titled Science and Art of the Coins of Central Asia marked coming soon. The footer of the site carries a 2020 copyright line, so ask about current shows when you book.
Gallerie Splash on Golf Course Road
Gallerie Splash gives its address as 87 F, Sector 53, Golf Course Road, Gurugram, 122011, with a phone number and an email listed on its contact page. Its page title describes it as an Indian art gallery with over two decades behind it, and the contact page says it serves collectors, interior designers and art enthusiasts across Delhi NCR.
Much of what the site shows happens outside Gurugram. Its exhibitions section lists shows at Triveni Kala Sangam in New Delhi and at a Mumbai venue, collateral projects at the Kochi Muziris Biennale from December 2025 to March 2026, and participation in India Art Fair in February 2026. Readers who want to see a particular artist's work at the Sector 53 space should ask what is on the walls before going.
The gallery's featured artists include Anjolie Ela Menon, Prabhu Harsoor, Madhvi Parekh, Manu Parekh, Ratan Parimoo, Ekta Singha and Mansi Trivedi, among others. Works are listed with medium and size, but prices are not shown; the site asks interested buyers to send an enquiry. Dalimss News is not quoting any values.
For people who want to make art rather than look at it, the workshops page is a useful record. It lists a woodcut print workshop on 27 and 28 May 2023, a theatre session on 10 June 2023, a clay workshop on 17 September 2023 and a session called Harmony Within on 17 March 2024, all at the Sector 53 address. A Splash Catalyst session on art and empathy was held on 7 April 2024 in Sector 55. No workshops dated after April 2024 appear on the page.
The gallery also describes a programme called Splash Catalyst, which it says supports young curators, artists and writers through mentorship, resources and exhibition platforms. The site mentions a second edition of its curatorial fellowships, shown in June 2025 at Bikaner House in New Delhi.
Neither site lists regular opening hours. For Atal Museum that is by design, since visits are scheduled. For Gallerie Splash, call ahead before making the trip, especially on weekends. Atal Museum's site does not mention an entry fee either, so ask about any charge when you book the visit. The two are a short drive apart through Sushant Lok and Golf Course Road, so a single afternoon can cover both if appointments line up.
If you are building an art and books afternoon in the same part of the city, our guide to Chapter 101 and Gallery One near Golf Course Road covers two more stops nearby. For photography, our first-visit guide to Museo Camera sets out its galleries and ticket rules.
A final note on fairness. Both sites are run by the institutions themselves and describe their own work in warm terms. This guide repeats only the factual details they publish, and anything about current shows, timings or entry should be confirmed with them directly.
