AP ICET Round 1 Allotment Released; College Reporting Opens 10 September

The first-round seat allotment for Andhra Pradesh ICET 2026 was released on Wednesday, 9 September, moving MBA and MCA admissions into a short but important reporting phase. Candidates who received a seat must complete online self-reporting and report at the allotted college between 10 and 14 September.

The allotment can be checked through the Andhra Pradesh Common Admissions Portal. Candidates should sign in using the credentials requested by the portal, download the allotment order and read the instructions attached to their individual allotment. A screenshot of the result page is not a substitute for the formal allotment order.

The practical point is that allotment is only one part of admission. The counselling schedule separates the declaration of a seat from the steps needed to confirm it. An allotted candidate should complete the self-joining process online and then report physically to the institution within the prescribed window. Leaving either step until the final evening creates an avoidable risk if the portal slows down, a payment does not register or a document needs correction.

What candidates should check now

Before travelling, candidates should compare the name of the college, programme, allotment category and other particulars on the order with the choices they submitted. They should also check the college's own reporting hours rather than assuming the admission office will remain open throughout the day.

The admission file will normally draw on documents already used during counselling, including the AP ICET hall ticket and rank card, degree records, transfer and study certificates, and category or income documents where applicable. The exact list on the allotment order and official counselling notice should govern. Candidates should carry originals and the number of photocopies specified by the college, while retaining digital scans for their own records.

If a name, category or academic detail is inconsistent, it is better to contact the counselling helpdesk and the allotted institution before reporting. Candidates should not edit a document or rely on an informal assurance from an unrelated college. Any fee paid should be made only through an authorised channel and supported by a receipt.

A compressed transition to college

The reporting window opens the day after the allotment and runs for five days. That timetable can be demanding for candidates who have been allotted a college outside their home district. Travel planning, accommodation and document retrieval may all have to happen together. Families should therefore treat 10 September as the first working day of admission, not as a day to begin reading the schedule.

The 2026 counselling process had registration from 24 August to 5 September, certificate upload and verification from 25 August to 5 September, web-option entry from 27 August to 5 September and an option-change opportunity on 6 September. The choices confirmed in that process formed the basis of the first allotment.

Candidates who are unhappy with the allotted seat should not assume that simply staying away has the same consequence in every circumstance. Rules on acceptance, further rounds, cancellation and fee refunds can differ according to the counselling stage. The safest course is to read the current official instructions attached to the result before taking any irreversible decision.

For colleges, the five-day window is also a verification exercise. Institutions must match the candidate, allotment and documents before completing admission. Any request that conflicts with the official order should be raised with the counselling authority rather than settled through an unofficial intermediary.

The immediate task for an allotted candidate is straightforward: download the order, complete self-reporting, confirm the college's reporting arrangements and arrive with the required records by 14 September. Keeping acknowledgements from both the online and in-person steps will make the admission trail easier to establish if a discrepancy appears later.
