ACP Vidush Saxena Warns Varanasi Residents: “One Wrong Click Can Cost a Lifetime of Savings”

VaranaSpeaking to Dalimss News, Vidush Saxena, ACP Cyber Crime, Varanasi, warned the public against opening unknown APK files, calling them a major gateway for cyber fraud.
He said cyber criminals are using fake apps, links, and offers to gain access to mobile phones and bank accounts within minutes. “One wrong click can cost you your hard-earned money,” he cautioned. ACP Saxena advised citizens to download apps only from official app stores, never share OTPs or banking details, and immediately report any suspicious activity. He stressed that public awareness is the strongest defence against rising cyber crime.
The recent arrests made by the Cyber Crime Police Station and Cyber Cell, Varanasi, underline the seriousness of the issue, but officials maintain that prevention through awareness is the most effective solution. The message from the police is clear: before clicking on any unknown link or APK file, stop, think, and verify — because one wrong click can cost a lifetime of savings.
