A major fire broke out in Lallapura area of Varanasi after an alleged LPG cylinder explosion inside a residential house.

The blaze quickly engulfed the two-storey building, creating panic among residents as thick smoke and flames spread through the locality. Police and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot, but narrow lanes made the rescue and firefighting operation challenging. After nearly three hours of continuous efforts, firefighters managed to bring the fire under control. Fortunately, no family member was present inside the house when the incident occurred. However, household belongings worth lakhs of rupees were reportedly destroyed in the fire.
