CBSE Class 10 Science Board Exam 2026: New Question Pattern Wins Praise From Students and Teachers

In a major move aimed at strengthening transparency in school education, the Delhi government has introduced a dedicated online platform enabling parents to directly challenge unjustified school fee hikes — a step being widely discussed across education communities and parent groups.

The new feature, added to the education department’s revamped website, allows parents to submit complaints through an official Fee Review Committee portal, eliminating the need for informal negotiations or lengthy legal processes. Earlier, parents often had to rely on school visits, discussions, or court cases to raise concerns.

Officials say the initiative aligns with the Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Rules, 2025, ensuring that private schools follow approved fee structures. Parents can now submit grievances digitally, making the process traceable and more accountable.

Education experts believe this change could significantly reshape the parent-school relationship by introducing structured oversight. For families already facing rising living costs, fee regulation has become a critical concern, especially in urban schooling systems.

Teachers’ associations have also welcomed the move cautiously, noting that transparent financial systems may reduce conflicts between school administrations and parents, ultimately improving focus on academic quality rather than administrative disputes.

With increasing awareness among parents about education rights, this initiative is expected to become a model for other Indian states exploring similar reforms.
